Jamy - I remember reading the various citations where there was no mention of Dury insulting Drau, or Karna's bandhaki remark. Those were definitely interpolations.

I m not pretty sure about Karna's provoking the VH being an interpolation, coz right after going thru ur comments, I went for the book, searched through the pages and there, it stated so. But as I said, I m still into readings. When u say that land and kingdoms were the main reasons for the war, it is very much agreeable to me and is plausible, but still one can say that, VH / DS actions acted like the final straw for the same. In the book that I read, the author tends to give VH as the sole reason.

TBH, there are many who won't agree to the kingdoms being the reason for the war. For e.g., there are many elders I know who will discard this theory mainly coz they are pro pandavas and will argue that Krishna would not have sided with them if kingdoms were the reason.

Anyway, C.Rajagopalachari's book has so many interpolations and especially his bias against Karna is very much noticeable. Thanks for clearing out my head btw..😆

Yeah, Nakul may have gone to invite Dhritarashtra, Bheeshma, et al, but not Karna. Regardless, it's ridiculous if they showed anyone going to HASTINAPUR to get KARNA. That was a time when Karna WAS IN ANGA

but no, karna HAD TO BE shown involved in the politics of hastinapur, while actualy in the epic, he was not.

Okay... i saw it online today... nd the epi was super silly!!!🤪 with some cute nd weird moments... combination of hersheys nd salt...

first of all, the kunti-krishna interaction was supper cute!! bta nhi unn logo ko yeh sab ideas SB ke time pe kyun nhi aaye...

nd baaki sab was okay types... but tht group hug... arre panchali kyun pandavs ke saath hug karenge!! Arre behen thodi na hai!!

nd again shishucomedy starts... but yeh comedy nhi, tragedy hai shishu ke naam pe... starshishu was mixture of everything😆, nd this actor is trying hard to act like previous one(jo woh saat janm tapasya karke bhi nhi kar sakta hai😆) nd when he's raising his hands, i'm thinking each nd every time tht he'll do SRK pose!!🤣

nd how could ARJUN not say anything when krishna is insulted!! Gawd this SidT made my ParAv apart!! He's only here like dummy doll standing wheres he should be one of the most imp person in karn's life!(at least i think so, cuz i think in one's life even enemies r imp where karn's only goal was to defeat arjun)

But i hated the way drau was portrayed this time... won't talk abt it much, nhi toh kurukshetra lag sakta hai...😆

nd not comes the suppper silly thing... shishu in drau's chamber... now hows tht possible when arjun is the senapati of IP!(disclaimer: I'm not shipping here, saying the fact)Won't tighten the security!! Some airagaira can enter SAMRAAGNI'S chamber!!! Now tht's super silly... nd how KARNA could enter there? won't guards stop thm to enter their queen's chamber? when PANDAVS were not allowed to enter, then how could shishu nd karna!! Tht's a fact which is making me scratch my head nd thinking to break tht SidT's head!!!

Seeing that half-saree or daawani Sony Karna uses to cover his "assets", I am having a feeling that somewhere soon around, he will get stripped and he will later get SonyDrau stripped for the same.😆 Imagine Karna calling Krishna for help. Will this possibly be why Sishu gets killed? Sony Krishna is aawaara paagal deewana for SonyKa.

After reading all the comments here...I was compelled to watch the episode...

Firstly...I am LOVING Draupadi's portrayal...n I take back my previous comment.

If they can avoid 'Andha Ka Putra Andha'...then I would have nothing to grumble about.

Pankhuri's acting as Draupadi has improved a lot...Though she has to improve still...I can see the regal pride n self-respect of Draupadi in her...

I loved her answers to both Karna n Shishupal...The one to Shishupal was just 👏

It was sharp yet not arrogant...Something that Shishupal deserves for sure.

I just hope they work on Draupadi's get up...Her pink dress is great but the maggi hair and the Churamani sticking out almost five inches above her head are ruining her face.

Coming to Shishupal...this new actor is worse than the previous one...Such a joker like portrayal!!

Is it written anywhere in the epic that Shishupal was a joker?😆

Coming to Karna...While I am liking some of his dialogues n also his proud aura...his overt whitewashing is bothering me.

Karna running to save Pandavas from Lakshagriha...Karna being so caring about Kunti...Karna fighting n opposing Shishupal...and the way he looked at Shishupal wen he taunted Draupadi was shocking...I wonder whether Karna will ever say 'unchaste' to her or not in this serial...

Karna had enough virtues to show...They dont need to whitewash him to this extent n show him opposing EVERY wrong deed n EVERY wrong person...as if he was some saint...this is too much. And in this show Karna seems to be ALL-KNOWING...He knows everything...

In this regard...I would say Star Plus' Karna was better...atleast he didnt go around doing Samaj Seva everywhere...

Anyway...this is a show on Karna...so will have to tolerate.

I just wish they showed his wives n children more...

This new Bhima is scary n I am so missing Saurav Gurjar...Saurav Pandey has improved but he is clearly trying to follow SRJ with his dialogue delivery...
