I think it was mainly done to re introduce the old Dean who was all about following dad's order and doing the family business...since dean had said it quite a few time in the premiere episode so they started with that intro and jensen's voice has change since then ...so maybe the voice was re recorded for the new audience to understand who is speaking

i love both voice...but this line was more thrilling in old voice of jensen :D:D
and i dont think it will look odd...as if u have a video of ur childhood in which u r talking will u dub it again to match ur present voice? !
