I think it was mainly done to re introduce the old Dean who was all about following dad's order and doing the family business...since dean had said it quite a few time in the premiere episode so they started with that intro and jensen's voice has change since then ...so maybe the voice was re recorded for the new audience to understand who is speaking

I don't think so, if you actually hear the voice in the first one, it's a lot shriller! This causes a problem because Jensen's voice is different now so it'd look weird in the episode!
