That was the topic I made way back.
It was the show that was in SSEL time slot before. 😊
I have read and liked your post. I agree with it completely, I only hope the CVs would have some sense as well.
Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about the show which used to air before SSEL's slot. My mistake, misread what you wrote.
I have never seen that show, but I read through the topic you posted and it seems like this is an oft-repeated phenomenon Indian TV. TBH, I feel like this problem arises mainly because creatives take up issues like rape, sexual harassment, domestic violence, mental illnesses etc not with the intention of actually shining a light on these issues but for using them to create drama and intrigue in their plot lines. I have seen this with Indian cinema too, where rape is just a tool used by the director to glorify the hero by making him the saviour and making it about HIS struggle to avenge his lover/sister/wife/daughter being raped. Ultimately, it was never about the victim and what she went through. It has always been used as a tool of drama for themes like revenge, jealousy etc. It's never actually about the RAPE and how it affects the victim.
They treat it as this juicy and titillating device they can use to whip up interest in their product. 🤢🤢
