The reason being old viewers will loose the forum as we can't discuss much about old gens as that will spam entire forum with old gen posts which new gen viewers may not like it. Which will force old gen viewers who are currently not watching new gen to leave the forum completely.

Naagin every season we will have new forum and the forum will play as a area for remembering the show post show ends. But i came across yrkkh forum where we don't follow that. Which can actually make viewers to quit IF completely as people may not create private forum once the show ends. They like to use the existing forum with known people with whom they can discuss about the show once it's ends.

Forum like ipkknd is still alive only because of viewers like to discuss about ipkknd

Even they will conduct banner contest even now but now with using same forum for every gen will make old gen viewers feel unwanted with forum as the banner is not even something they are currently watching.

For eg: I have not watched s1 and s2 of yrkkh and not planning to watch s4 and upcoming seasons too. But i was forced to see s1 and s2 content and the forum which I was using for gen3 is getting used for gen 4 which i am not even interested in. I feel that may not go well with users who watch only one of the gen.

Using same forum for every gen will force people to evacuate IF. I feel fans atleast should get a seperate forum for each new gen. May be we can have parent and child forums where yrkkh is parent forum and gen 3 and gen 4 are child forums. Independent of each other but still connected to parent. Forum ranking should be decided only based on latest child.

I feel we should create seperate forum for each gen like how it's done for naagin and BB. That way people can still have a space to talk about past episodes and celebrity news and fanfictions. And people will keep on visiting forums.

Can we please create seperate forum for yrkkh gen 4 ? As that way all gen 3 viewers can still be active on main forum and gen 4 will have new fresh start. Where they can have seperate discussions on gen 4 and gen 3 discussion can still be done on gen 3 forum. Which will make everyone happy.

One more reason why I feel it's necessary to have a different forum for each gen because that will help in forum ranking calculation. If people talk more about old gens and all the activity that happened is because of old gen then it is very unfair for other shows as they are competing against legacy show which has followers who may not be active in yrkkh anymore and people who are discussing about old gen instead of current ongoing episodes. I feel it should be fair for all other shows when it comes to chaska meter. Where forum ranking should be determined based on current gen not based on whole show.

It’s a good idea it will feel more organised and easy to carry on discussions if there is atleast a common forum for the older seasons and another forum for the new season of Yrkkh..this way the viewers of older seasons can discuss past episodes and characters on their forums..meanwhile, new season viewers can carry on with their discussions on theirs..this way the forums won’t be confusing and will be easier to navigate..

Everyone knows yrkkh forum is very unstable, bb forum seems tamer in comparison a lot drama has happened and personally I would like to talk about all gens character relationship without someone shading at that. For everyone's peace of mind forum division can be considered, I think all fd will support it. The new gen actors will get their ranking and all independent of previous gen actors.

I think if Forums are being divided into different generations, let the Main forum be kept for discussion of Gen 1 - The OGs

Create a separate forum for Gen2, 3, and 4. But the Main forum should be made exclusive for Gen 1 discussion. I would love a place to discuss the first 8 years of Rishta

It is longest running serial of ITV soo if a separate forum for season 3 is asked for then we want OG season 1 and season 2 and season 4 separately…and it’s unfair to season 4 for this new rule or concept of separate forums of yrkkh is divided…it will be biased Too

Well the main reason separate forum is being asked for gen4 is Abhira banner will be gone but 3 months before it was promised the banner will be changed.

Also many bookmark this link and season 4 viewers already using it. So the active forum of season 4 should not be changed and please give Abhira fans their own forum. As rules didn't change for season 1 and 2 it will be unfair to change for season 3.

Comparison with Naagin and Iss pyaar ko are wrong. Both these shows had different seasons, not generations. If Ghum, Udaariyaan, YHC, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and other shows which took leap could adjust with a single forum, then why should there be special rules for just a single fandom? They can always open a private forum to discuss gen 3 of Yeh Rishta.

I had some suggestion on techinal part too. Which i have mentioned in my comment. Hence I commented here. But I have reached out to Mods on this.

Note: my suggestion was not restricted to yrkkh forum my concern was in general for all shows which has gen leap.

Agreed. Kumkum bhagya is now gonna have gen 3 as well, imlie already is, pandya is in gen2?? Kundali bhagya as is in gen 2 as well. I am sure all gens would like to have their own space to discuss and go back to. Udaariyan is also gen 3, and ghum in gen 2. So its not just yrkkh forum.
