Can you please explain how the ChaskaMeter Show Ranking works?

A. Changing the dropdown value from pending to any of the other three (for example: https://www.indiaforums.com/my/fanfictions?s=3) doesnt change the dropdown text, even though the page reloads (with the list of stories wrt the dropdown value)

The text needs to change too, not just the list of stories and the hyperlink.

B. Visiting https://www.indiaforums.com/my/fanfictions?s=1&mode=Ffs for the first time doesnt load the pending the stories, only when "Go" button is hit do they show up.

Is there some time sync glitch? I'm seeing notifications and posts having time in -4 seconds and so on.

I noticed that too. N was abt to come n ask abt this.

As a private forum's Creator, I have access to a Manage Members edit page, from which I can tag users and Invite them to join. However, for private forums where I'm an ordinary member, I can only invite others by PM'ing the link or by posting it in other forums (where it gets deleted with a misguided "Respect privacy of private forums" warning).

Activity in private forums could be stimulated if all members saw a prompt to Invite others. For example, when they check the non-edit Members page to see which people they know, if everyone saw the Invite feature with Tag field and Tag Buddies button, they might fill in usernames from their Buddy lists and expand the membership.

Invite Only private forums wouldn't want ordinary members to use this feature, but it would be the natural way to build membership in Auto-Join private forums. Accepted invitations from Request Join private forums could still require approval by the Creator/Manager.

Facing slowness in IF. Not sure if it's because of this. But I see IF is lagging. I checked my internet speed it's stable.

Since now a days it's very common that every show has a new gen. Why don't we create new forum for each gen?

The reason being old viewers will loose the forum as we can't discuss much about old gens as that will spam entire forum with old gen posts which new gen viewers may not like it. Which will force old gen viewers who are currently not watching new gen to leave the forum completely.

Naagin every season we will have new forum and the forum will play as a area for remembering the show post show ends. But i came across yrkkh forum where we don't follow that. Which can actually make viewers to quit IF completely as people may not create private forum once the show ends. They like to use the existing forum with known people with whom they can discuss about the show once it's ends.

Forum like ipkknd is still alive only because of viewers like to discuss about ipkknd

Even they will conduct banner contest even now but now with using same forum for every gen will make old gen viewers feel unwanted with forum as the banner is not even something they are currently watching.

For eg: I have not watched s1 and s2 of yrkkh and not planning to watch s4 and upcoming seasons too. But i was forced to see s1 and s2 content and the forum which I was using for gen3 is getting used for gen 4 which i am not even interested in. I feel that may not go well with users who watch only one of the gen.

Using same forum for every gen will force people to evacuate IF. I feel fans atleast should get a seperate forum for each new gen. May be we can have parent and child forums where yrkkh is parent forum and gen 3 and gen 4 are child forums. Independent of each other but still connected to parent. Forum ranking should be decided only based on latest child.

I feel we should create seperate forum for each gen like how it's done for naagin and BB. That way people can still have a space to talk about past episodes and celebrity news and fanfictions. And people will keep on visiting forums.

Can we please create seperate forum for yrkkh gen 4 ? As that way all gen 3 viewers can still be active on main forum and gen 4 will have new fresh start. Where they can have seperate discussions on gen 4 and gen 3 discussion can still be done on gen 3 forum. Which will make everyone happy.

There is a old gen discussion thread now but in a post it's a bit inconvenient to discuss topics randomly it's not the same as forum. Rishta already has more than a decade run, we have all sorts of people who likes kaira og akshara naitik and so on. If forum is split to 4 section that's good for everyone. No fighting less pressure for mods too. If this has happened previously I guess people would have fought less and mod notes would have been less. Anyways, please consider this idea i think it can be amazing

I completely agree with diya, I can imagine that people who aren't interested in older generations wouldn't want to see posts about them that much. At the same time, I know that we as fans of gen 3 would still like to use the foum to discuss gen 3. So, having separate forums that cater to each new generation is a win-win situation!
