Eg I had received Pakistani serial banner contest voting invite. I voted but i didn't know any of the pairing. Didn't seem fair for me to chose for a forum I don't even visit or knew it existed.

Unless you mean within that invite only votes too DTs will pick and chose votes.

thats what I didn't get. Invites are being sent to people who aren't related to forum, i guess to stop bias voting in case one party has more members. But on other side members who don't even know about serial votes, they will measure of how pretty a banner is and not on the sentiment.

Hi,

We do 2 rounds of voting - invite only and open voting. We do this to avoid any cheating and bias in voting. Forum members will get an equal chance to vote as the invited people. Once the date for IO voting passes, then the voting will be opened to all forum members (except newbies and groupbies) and then they will get an equal chance to vote.

I hope that helps explain the voting.

A page was created in response to my request, but without any of the description that I provided in my Person Request.

I used the Suggest Edit button to offer the same facts, but the page still has no content after several weeks.

Other than my efforts being stonewalled like this, it's discouraging to see the Suggest Edit page full of fields for every imaginable private matter, and not "Languages Spoken" - a useful professional detail. "Blood group" - is that to encourage readers to send celebrity blood donation requests? Professionals in entertainment may not want India Forums to categorize them according to controversial labels such as Hindu, brahman, or non-vegetarian.
