Use the Blocking feature.

I wish I could share all of my fiction openly, as I don't think I write anything disturbing. However, due to some Moderators and FFEditors censoring my writing just because it's mine, and PM'ing me furious accusations that misrepresent what I wrote, I have had to find two work-arounds that may suit you as well:

1. Post on your Wall. You can restrict viewing of your Profile to Buddies only.

2. Post in your own private forum. You can make it Request Join.

It is a much-needed feature for protecting every author's content from plagiarism. Many authors have recently expressed fear and complained against other writers' infringement.

I am requesting Vijay and Pareshif to add this feature to our website as well.

About two weeks ago, a Channel Moderator wrote this PM to me, admitting that she shouldn't have deleted my post from Site Updates and Issues Discussions #7:

Hey, I have asked the higher DT to move the post back to the forum. It was moved by me by mistake. I apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Does it make sense that a Channel Moderator doesn't have the capability to restore what she deletes by mistake? Shouldn't each level of the DT have powers to do more good than harm?

Reposting with BilliCat's permission: my reply to someone who had requested a feature to send an emoji in response to being Blocked.

Surely you jest. I have never Blocked anyone, but having been Unblocked by four of the twelve members who Blocked me since I joined India Forums two years ago, I think that the success of this feature lies in allowing thoughtful communication in the open and disallowing attention-seeking or knee-jerk reactions.

1. Blocking should not prevent members from communicating publicly with each other: reading each other's posts in the open forum and shared private forums, reading each other's comments on articles, fan fiction books, and member profiles. Let everyone decide when to join an open discussion and when to disagree silently. It's good enough that members can't nuisance-tag each other while Blocked.

2. Blocking should prevent members from private communication (anything hidden or unaccountable): no visiting the profile, no PM, no emojis on the Blocked page. As long as fan fiction Likes are anonymous, Blocking should prevent them.

3. Blocking must not become an excuse for members to criticize each other's personalities or allegiances openly, either imagining that they can't be seen or taunting their targets with "Not my fault if you read something not meant for you." People who are territorial can use PM and private forums to bash outsiders.

4. Blocking currently limits but doesn't totally prevent quoting. If I want to quote someone who has Blocked me, I have to make the effort to copy and paste, which is a reminder to keep my reply impersonal and avoid giving offense. I think this is perfect.

5. I like that someone who has Blocked me can still auto-join my private forum or become my fan fiction Follower and get to know my thoughts. I wouldn't mind if someone who Blocked me could comment on my fan fiction books, the same as replying in my topic. Comments are not anonymous and can be reported.

6. I want to get notifications of replies in my Watched topics and new topics in my Favourite forums, regardless of someone being Blocked with me.
