Plagiarism at its peak, again.. Mods, where are you guys? - Page 2

Mods pls do look in this matter and take proper action
coz not only writters even readers and fans suffer when the stories of their fav writters is stolen

This surly is a serious issue.
It has been put in notice before but all the DT did was made a Palagrism complain thread and the authority of it is on the mods of that forum who will take action after months of reminder or will simply reply, we cant do anytjing about it as out from IF is not our authority.

But then what is your authority.

I feel that each post either of a story or daily written updates or even a comment of any member should be saved by IF.

Please make each post not copyable. And then, the only creater of that post should be able to edit it.

Even after a post is locked, the original post maker should have the authority to edit it. As leaving things on DT team is so not favorable.

The people who cant even keep tabs on Mature stuff in the fictions to make it age friendly site, dont even dare to look at the members complain or questions.

I hope the mods will take action as it will make the forum more fair..the writers put in a lot of effort to create this beautiful stories and if they get stolen and used by someone else, it's really unfair to them. I dont write fan fiction but I enjoy them here as some of the stories are better than the shows the characters are based on...

Since mods are so prompt in clamping on posts that break forum rules, plagiarism is a BIG No no in all walks of life..so the CT should crack down on them to.

Its a grave issue...

In this day and age where we everything in our life is moving to the virtual world it is imperative that we talk about intellectual property, what ever I write her are my thoughts and need to be protected.

I cannot believe how low people can stoop. I am astonished that nothing has been done about this.

I had even reported a thread where the thief has reposted a story, copied word-for-word from Fanfiction.net..

The original writer too has made a post at the thread.. But there has been absolutely no response from the DTs so far..

After three days of chasing her around all social media platforms, and emails/PMs and posts, we've managed to get her to delete everything..

But.. the Mods haven't taken any action against the 'thief' in concern..

I understand that the DTs have lives outside of IF and we cannot expect them to come running to our calls, but isn't there a hierarchical system here?

Previously, we've had the DTs penalising members for instigating fights, attacking members, posting stuff from rival websites and mature content..

How about taking plagiarising seriously, too?
