I have been reading number of post of people asking how to become part of the dev team of forums. It always depends on the amount of dedication u give to the forum and ur participation. but then what does it say on the top or next to the team name JOIN the Development team. When I click there u have to fill a form. s whats that then? On what bases u become part of the dev. team? Participation discussion or filling this form...

second point is that why do only people who have been mods before get promoted for another forum and not new people given a chance

The application you fill for Joining the Dev. Team is indeed reviewed by the section Moderators. If the Moderators think that a particular person is eligible for the criteria needed to be a Viewbie , then the member is definitely considered. 😃 Now the eligibility criteria is what you have mentioned , amount of dedication and participation.
And its not like new members aren't promoted , they are but with lots of caution due to the untoward incidents that have happened in the past !

help.i am using opera mini 4.2 and i can login in dis forum bt can't write post or reply.when i enter "new thread" then only "subject" box is available bt the message box is not seen.
