I say get rid of the warning system all together. It makes us all feel like we're inmates in a jail. Actually, IF feels like a jail. Why are we here, you ask? Because our CC has been here for too long to give it all up and quit.

If someone breaks rules, just ban them. That's another thing, WORK ON THE RULES. I swear, breathing is against IF COC. You guys need to go and look at other discussion forums on the internet. This place is too restricted, and I can't sit here to entertain the fragile mentality of hundreds of people I MAY offend. I mean, the only thing, in my opinion, worthy of any warning or ban is if another member is seen bashing another member. And by bashing, I mean the definition written under dictionary.com, and not the narrowly defined term used by IF.

^ I think there should be certain rules created by the members for the members.

^ I knowwwwwwwwww. Ban and get over it.
Exactly. You guys never catch the ones with REAL MID people, you come after the innocent ones. 😳
^ That reminds me of the police always catching us and not the real trouble-makers. 🤣 Har-har.

^LMAO. 🤣
There's so many rude dev team members. You guys never kicked them off. Sabrina said one thing, and boom - she's gone. Hah, it's funnnnnnny. Really, there's SOOOO many dev team members on this forum, like uncountable. Many like a FEW out of those do their job correctly.

First of all, Thanks for opening up this topic Sabrinaa. I'm not going to be pointing out the flaws in the moderation as everyone else already has. When such a collective force rebels against the system, then you must know that there is probably something wrong.
The main issue in hand is unfairness - It prevails across 3/4th of IF, there are probably very less sections where moderation is fair. Either there are groups who know how to make their way out of trouble because of friendship with a mod, or there are mods who themselves indulge into partiality. Some of the mods are so undeserving that I've found myself wondering as to who the hell made them a mod? Probably lack of membership at some point of time left no other option.
I had opened a topic about an alternative option regarding the selection of mods - Why don't we let members choose the mods ? The GM team can select a few deserving candidates for each section and then the members can vote. I think it's fair enough. Eliminates subjectivity from both sides.
I don't think any of the mods on IF ( barring a few ) set a good example of leadership. Suppressing members does not eliminate the problem, it only postpones it. Not to mention, amplifies the anger and frustration.
In the end, I think one of these mods could be easily mistaken for Lalu Prasad Yadav in disguise. Rest is self-explanatory.
Do something before we're doomed.

HAHA HAHA HAHA. Um the Moderator or Viewbie or Coolbie ( What kind of childish names they have) are only kicked off if they question the Bhagwan Team, such as Vijay or any other significant admin with power. I am sure during the training session of a moderator, they are taught to be an A-hole to all of the members since that's their job, but dare not utter a word against the Bhagwans, even if they clearly are acting like JackA$$.

With that, I bid adieu for now.

Sabrinaa, kudos to you for this post.

Recently Shabnam made a thread in the KMH forums, it was closed down immediately. Why? Because she was criticizing the actors and the storyline. She got it re-opened though, but for that she had to PM a mod and present her valid arguments. Why do we have to do that? Does IF only allow threads that talk about KSG's armpits or Shraddha's love for nuts? 😕 If yes, then why are we here? Cuz we're def not one of those desperate housewives who live to see Armaan's banana, and this is coming from their OWN mouths. Does discussion mean this --> " ROFLLLLLLLL LOLLLLL HUGGGGGGGGS MUAHZZZZZZZZ"😕? Why is this forum so hungry for praise? Praise the mods, praise the actors, praise the members, praise Vijay, blah blah blah!

Back to that KMH thread, the mod left a warning that warned members from using too many emoticons, yet we had some morons using the "ROFL" emoticon like crazzzzzzzzzy. Then, they personally attacked Sanya and Shabnam, by saying how they are blind, they dont belong from respectable families and whatnot. Kahani abhi baaki hain doston, then, them freaking stalkers, stalked our posts and landed up in OUR CC! They were quoting us like maniacs and behaving like buffoons. Why? Because we bashed their favorite actor! More on this, later in the evening, we had a mod come into our CC, and she bashed US and practically gave US warning because we asked the stalkers to leave the CC, a bit rudely!🤣 Like are you freaking kidding me? First they barge in and then we're supposed to welcome them with open arms? BS.

Finally, I think this WL drama is utter BS. Mods increase a member's WL on basis on of "frandsheep" they share with the member. If you're the mod's friends, you can go ahead and talk about Armaan's banana, oranges and all sorts of crap and you will come out spotless. Oh, you might receive a text message from the mod saying "OMG I love yall's armaan's banana discussion. He's so hot. Haha ok bye." If you're not a friend, then you're practically screwed.

I dont get involved with mods, so thats why I have never received a warning. Which is weird, cuz I talk so much crap😆. My friend got a warning cuz she said "cleavage", poor girl, the mod hates her...thats why.

@bold: Thank you! Suppressing members does not achieve anything, and in fact the situation becomes much worse. Tempers run high, and people get annoyed when topics are closed unnecessarily. If there is criticism, and there is a well justified reason along with that criticism, then it should be accepted. I understand that members sentiments are hurt, then topic starter's should add a disclaimer stating that "Die hard fans of this couple should not read, since their sentiments might be hurt", yet if these members choose to read, then it's solely their own choice that led to them reading.

In the real world we all deal with much worse situations, yet we manage to deal with them. We don't stand and cry, as we utter the words, "You hurt me" to someone. We answer back, and learn to deal with the situation.

I understand the reason these rules are set in place, yet when topics are closed due to one little criticism, then the forum might as well be named the 'Positivity forum' as opposed to 'India forums'.

I have been on this forum for sooo long... And I have experienced all kinds of MODs.. I have been a part of many different forums over the past FOUR years and I must say that until recently (end of 2008.. beginning of 2009) IF felt like a fun place to come to where I could destress myself after a long day..

But now I hate coming to IF in case the minute I log in I will see a warning for saying I didn't like Mayank's hairstyle or if I said the creatives have lost their minds or if I had said something like "I am sure the mods will warn us for spoofing"... Even that is considered bashing and mocking "against" the mods now.
I am not going to repeat what has already been said about the MODs and their authorative God-like tones in their notes and their unfairness.. I am in agreement with everything said here. I have "liked" all of those posts.
Hopefully, this topic won't be closed because we all "dared" to speak against the DT.
