Mansi Parekh, who was last seen on Star Plus show Gulaal, is happy to be seen in a new avatar as a singer in Zee TV's show Star Ya Rockstar. Mansi, says, "My new show is just not singing but I will have to perform as well. For me it was like going back to music."

Mansi is a trained singer and she had also participated in a Gujarati singing reality show which was judged by her hubby Parthiv Gohil. She adds: "Parthiv is also very happy and he told me to go for this show. He has a long association with Zee as well. Thus he is all the more excited to see me on the same channel." Parthiv Gohil was a runner up in SA RE GA MA PA and he has lent his voice for the films Devdas and Saawariya too. Ask Mansi if her hubby has given any tips on singing and performing on stage and she says: "Yes, Parthiv has given me lot of tips on singing and also said not to become too stage conscious. I am aiming to win this contest," she concludes.
