In the recent days, television has seen the launch of some spectacular shows like Aarambh on Star Plus, Paramavatar Shri Krishna on &TV and Mahakaali on Colors..

Joining the brigade of shows that have it in them to create a niche is the historical on the life and tale of Prithvi Vallabh, the ruler of Malwa in Madhya Pradesh. The series will be produced by one of the finest creators in the space, Aniruddh Pathak who has been the writer of Mahakumbh, Roshni etc.

Actress Swati Rajput who was last seen in &TV's Agent Raghav has bagged a prominent role in the show.

As per sources, "She will essay the role of a warrior princess by name Sulochana, and the character will be on the lines of a female Kattappa.

The shoot for Prithvi Vallabh has started and Swati we hear, is presently shooting for the same.

We buzzed Swati, but could not get through to her.

As for Swati, she has been part of shows Tum Dena Saath Mera, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon Ek Baar Phir.

We also reached out Danish Khan, EVP and Business Head, Sony TV, but did not ger to hear from him.

Prithvi Vallabh is expected to launch sometime during Diwali this year.
