What should I call today's episode. Sita raises all the questions to the society. I loved the way she answered everyone. Queens say she has to be in the society to bring the change. Sumitra says as queen she can bring change. Sita says she was also queen. Did it give her protection from the perception society has about woman. They were also queens. Could they bring the change. No one has answer. She tells her sisters not to become her weakness. When Lakshman tries to commit suicide she stops him and tells he is not at fault. A society that doesn't allow the questioning of children to parents and students to teachers will never change. The old archaic laws will continue. We need to know even after yugas this is practiced as men want it. They don't want change. What happened to Panchali in Dwapara yuga was the aftermath of this rule. With Kunti's words she became wife to 5 men. In infamous hall of dice Arjun and Bhima shouts but they are unable to go against Dharmaputra who made them slaves. Even in Kaliyuga when valid questions are asked kids are rebuked. It is told it is like this. As a society we bring the kids fearful of questioning, fearful of change and many perish unable to adapt to change.
Change is a feminine aspect, while constant is masculine aspect. Change and constant needs to be balanced according to the time. Sita tells the kids what she has given them is direction, not order and according to situation they have to take decision. Believe me if the direction is correct in any circumstances a person will take the right choice. That is why it is said you should always follow the direction of knowledgeable. That is why if you feel confused it is better to place yourself as Arjun and request direction from Krishna. Don't do action in confused state. Only after confusion is clarified you should proceed. I said earlier also, seeing their mother's sacrifice and why she did the same Luv-Kush will ensure no woman faces injustice in Ayodhya. Because they lose their mother at the tender age of 12 because of the injustice society did to woman.
Now coming to Ram. We have discussed this questions in detail in the previous episode. Now why Sita questions her husband in public. Note the point there. Rajaram didn't allow her to see his face. She clearly addresses Rajaram not Sitaram. And the questions to him is the questions to society especially the question in Raghukul, that in Raghukul only the vachan of Rajadharma is kept, not any other vachan. The pertinent question we also asked. What about the vachan given to the wife in front of agni. Why does the society doesn't allow a man to keep the vachan he has given to his better half. It is a very pertinent question, still relevant to our times , where a man is son, brother not a husband. If he listens to wife or do something for wife then he is Joru ka Ghulam. Though the question is for Ram, it is actually Ayodhya and Raghuvansh that is getting hurt. Raghuvansh starts bowed in front of Janaki unable to answer even one of her questions.
Then she says she has completed her duty as a mother and given the kids to him. Now she is neither someone's wife, nor someone's daughter and she is free to take the decision. Note the point there. Sita is stressing it is not the wife or daughter who is taking the decision, it is an independent woman who is at that point queen of Ayodhya. She is a wife, if not she wouldn't have worn the sindoor. Sindoor remains hidden in her maang tikka. She is a daughter, if she is not she wouldn't have worn the wedding dress and jewellery her father had given her. And then comes the last part. Her proof. To the society who put a question on her purity. Asking the mother earth to prove to the world her purity by taking her. No one is asking her that. But she gives them that, giving a tight slap to every voice that questioned her. And when she goes she takes the power of the system that has done injustice to woman with her. Even today a Jyoti Pandey had to suffer for us to discuss rape in the public sphere and question the prevailing ethos regarding it.

@vd it is not done yet. What Ram wanted will most probably be shown clearly tomorrow if my instincts are right. I want SKR to show it, show it explicitly that this action of Sita is what Ram wanted. All his secret banishment and pain he gave her was for this purpose. So that she stand up for the rights of the woman and support him in clearly defining the new line. Yes Sita is Durga for Ayodhya. Gauri and Kali coexist in her.
