@jeena the reason Ram and his 3 brothers got only sons is because their mothers were capable of teaching their sons co existence. Their fathers very much respected their wives. All the 3 brothers also were ek patni vratha. A woman should be capable of teaching her son how to respect woman, for that she needs to ensure her husband respects her. Only such a noble son will be able to coexist with Prakriti.

A girl should have a father who teaches her the importance of self respect and coexistence with a man respecting him, understanding him.

Lack of knowledge in parents ends up with kids having no knowledge and they get into the Chakravyuha of life and ends up destroying themselves.

Now superiority is taught. If it was boys for sometime, now it is girls. I really feel sad when I hear girls calling a boy's parents baggage and all. Yes true woman were treated slaves in their sasural, but disrespecting your spouse's parents and siblings is the way to avenge that.

Your mention about Amar chitra Katha , wow ! Yes such a pet topic again . It sure has a great role in many of our lives to have instilled the essence of culture, history , pride of our nation etc . Simple but very impactful ! Always a treat to read through. My kids too love them . Infact they feel thes could replace the current history books to make a big difference in changing the attitude towards the subject (for many who feel history as a boring subject ) .

Jeena I had asked same question why sons in the previous thread had a different theory but liked shruthi dis as always.

I thought maybe casting 8 children for a tv show was a tough job and so they left out the other royal princes.

On his way back from the Vaikunta, Lord Narada stumbles upon this beautiful city he was never seen before in his travels. He pays a visit to the city and learns that the kingdom was ruled by a king named Sheelnidhi and that the king was planning to hold a swayamwara for his daughter, who was an ardent devotee of the Lord. Narada is captivated by the beauty of the princess and seeks Lord Vishnu's help in wooing the princess. He asks the Lord to give him the face of "Hari," the face of the lord. As a sannyasi he had no reason to get married, so the Lord instead decided to make Narada's face appear like a monkey's in front of the princess (Narada had forgotten the fact that "Hari" also meant monkey).

Thus she didn't end up choosing Narada, and he in turn became very angry at Vishnu. This shows yet another benefit of worshiping Vishnu. The devotee can get as angry as they want to at Vishnu, but there is nothing that will break their relationship of love. Narada angrily cursed Vishnu to come to earth in human form and be separated from His beloved wife. God can't be cursed, but since He loves Narada so much, He agreed to the demand, coming to earth as the valiant warrior prince named Rama.
