First and the foremost why does Sita's Satitva or the devotion to her husband shining through. Why does Kaikasi feel it is over and above the protection Mandodari can give. I will once again go back to the Ravan-Mandodari wedding. Ravan bought Mandodari's Satitiva. Remember he burning the tree as the sacred fire for his marriage. That's why physical protection in the form of Amrit Kalash is needed.

But what about Sita. Her Satitva happened. Her love and devotion to her husband happened. She is a woman who has bloomed in Ram's love. Her attachment to him transcends body to the realm of mind and soul. Remember the vows during Ram-Sita wedding where Ram says today I am allowing you to partake my karma also. And Sita Partakes Ram's karma also. So her Satitva is the combined power of her good karma and his good karma. If you remember I had talked about the triangle of protection of Ram. By partaking his karma, her satitva carries the triangle of protection of Ram. Blessings of elders, love of youngsters and 3 of the Panch kanyas ( Tara yet to come, but she will also come) combines in Sita's satitiva. And her sitting in Ashoka vatika waiting for him ensures not an inch of that satitiva goes, but being loyal to him in excruciating circumstances increases its power. While with each passing day the fights between Ravan and Mandodari ensures her power of Satitva decreases as she partakes her husband's adharma actions. While dharma of Ram and Sita's loyalty to him increases her satitiva, Ravan's adharma irrespective of Mandodari's loyalty decreases her satitva and the protection it can give Ravan.

Now look at the place Sita choose. The place where she is reminded of Raghunandan. I loved that scene. When she sees the Ashoka tree the memory of her time with Ram comes and we see the Gowri in her. Bhumija goes to the place where she feels secure. With Prakriti. The Sanskriti's luxury cant buy her. And interestingly Ravan is forced to give Sita freewill.

In Ravan's Lanka where everyone is forced to do what she wants, Sita gets freewill. Or rather her independence personality makes the adamant sanskriti give her freewill. And we need to know one thing. Sita's freewill is only till her satitiva is given to Ram. The moment she chooses Ravan her freewill and her independence will be gone. This is where I always say if a woman needs freewill post marriage she has to choose with knowledge. Else freewill is only till marriage , post that woman is stripped of her identity.

And finally the Ashoka tree. One that takes away sadness. She also says like Ashoka she will not be sad, but she will hope and stay. Beautiful episode. Lanka doesn't even understand Lakshmi has walked out of the palace and soon they are going to see it.

Great analysis, Sruthi di. Yes, a woman's Satitva comes from her husband's Dharma and loyalty, elder's blessings, and her faith. And yes, a woman's Satitva which is felt is way more stronger than a woman's Satitva that is bought because the first one feels it and has freewill, and the second one is bound in it and forced to uphold it. The Ashoka tree scene was the best, Madirakshi emotes beautifully! Janvhi di, I am waiting for yours, and I will post mine in some time!

By the way, congratulations for reaching 2/3 of the thread. We will soon finish this one and start a new thread, with a new Adhyay!

@ shruthiravi Di people say after divorce a woman loses identity but it is not actually that just yesterday was watching a to show when someone said this got a better understanding

Mandodari and Sita they differ in the love they received and the test they have to give to prove their love and yes blessings are powerful

Kaikesi again tries to play with destiny

Buddha and Sita what a connect
Sanskriti can't buy that luxury and ravan was blabbering kaksh

The writer has tweeted this yesterday, that while Sita was observing everyone quietly that day, today she'll conclude their characters in just one line.
Beautiful dialogue.

Don't pity me coz I have no pity urself coz u had choice👍🏼
It has a deep signifance how often people in the world try to gain sympathy to get their work done. How often they shed tears which is of no gain just to gain sympathy and one more thing is some people are blessed with complete happiness but then they make it complex when life could have been simple with gratitude
Satitva now I understand why Sita is not part of paanchkanya whereas mandodari is
Rocket shoorpanakha 🤣

The Panchakanya consists of Ahilya, Draupadi, Kunti, Tara, and Mandodari. They are an inspiration for all of womankind, and are the definitions of womanhood. Many people have asked me, "Why is Sita not included in this list? She is far greater than all of them!" The reason is because all of the Panchakanyas have a balance of the three Gunas- Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas, which is a characteristic of an ideal human. But Sita Maa has just the Sattva Guna, the highest standard, which means divinity. Today's episode proved this, Sita is far greater than the Panchakanyas in every aspect. Jai Siya Ram!
