DD I am still quite busy have not watched any episode since many days . . .

And with Ramzan approaching soon I don't think I will be able to catch up any time soon may be after Eid only. . .

Shruthi di, yest in the epic they had shown Sita with open hair. Gowri had asked me a question that only widows keep their hair opened, so what significance did it mean here?

I had only one person at my mind, Draupadi. She too left her hair opened right? In dyut sabha, Pandavas inspite of being physically present except Bheem didnt make their presence felt because they kept mum to the injustice that was made to Draupadi. In my pov, she might have opened her hair to indicate their physical absence.

Similarly here, Ravan took Sita away from Ram. So to indicate Ram's physical absence, she might have opened her hair 😊

Would like to here your take on it

@DD I am bowled over. I don't know whether you have read my posts on episodes when Surpi was chasing Ram. It is not just the contrast, but I am discussing their paths and how the paths cross, to give justice to Shanta. It is actually the revenge demanded by Surpi, but what gets delivered is justice for Shanta.

What does Ram get. What did Shanta have. Have we seen her husband. He is mostly in tapasya and she mostly alone in the hut. Does she have marital bliss in real sense. How has rishisringa treated her. Yes she is given the status of wife. But once he realized ( of course he would have realized why she came) would he could love her with same passion. An almost empty life but yaa husband is there and society sees her sacrifice Shanta has taken a heavy toll.

And the child born out of that sacrifice also leads a lonely life. What does Ram have post Sita banishment. A lonely life with the golden statue of Sita. A throne for which sacrifice of his sister was extracted. He sits there accepting the same fate, Ayodhya has given its daughter.
