Hello, to understand why the CVS portrayed Sita Maa like this, you need to understand that SKR is just an interpretation of the Ramayana. The CVS are portraying what they think Sita might have went through and how she would have faced it. They wanted to show her as the person she was, strong, determined, loyal, and fearless. I am just voicing my opinion, so sorry if I hurt your feelings.

Gowri

agree with you, this is just a way of showing sita maa's determination and strength. and by what was shown in the precap ravan will ask sita for marriage and she will obviously refuse, so then he will place her in the ashoka vatika soon

Hi Gowri

I respect ur Opinion .

But In my View , there could have been better way to showcase those qualities in sita maa

What was shown yesterday , was horrendous , the CV's are literally playing with the plot

And it putting to shame each character every day , how dreadful it looked that chain scene.

In my View , it was a stupidity to show that

That one scene left such a bad taste in the mouth. Sita is a strong woman and personally I don't see soft spoken woman as a meek one. What makers showed was pathetic to speak modestly. If they indeed had to show Sita's helplessness and her anger there were ways better than what they showed. Putting her up in chains and treating her as a menial slave was horrible. And no I don't live this over dramatization, Raavan never had put her up like that...CV's have badly messed up Ramayan!

To show one as fearless and loyal you don't need to chain or gag or bound them. There were ways better than this to show Sita's strength and steely spine. What they showed was horrendous!

Again this is my point of view.

For sure there was no need to chain her. It not just looked pathetic but also like with so many Asuras with weapons had to capture a mere human lady with chain as if she was a threat to all their life, if let free. Was Shurpanakha so weak that Sita had to be chained before she ventured to remove Sita's eyes? And was that necessary for Ravan to give free will to Meghanadh to use weapon on those who may try to help Sita? Would Meghnad used his weapon on his mother had Mandodari tried to come near Sita? True he would have done that with Shurpi or Sulochana but the Mighty king Ravan keeping a woman captive with chain was out of his character. That too when he clearly told Sita that he will not allow her to die so soon. The brave lady who was trying to knock her head off using his Chandrahas, would she have begged mearcy with him and asked for food?

This is what happens when CVs deviate from original script and show nonsense like Ravan kidnapping Sita just for revenge and not out of lust.

Because StarRavan has no reason to send Sita to Ashok Vatika. He has no desire for her, he just wants her to suffer and feel pain.

Now we'll get to see StarRam riding to Lanka in Bahubali style on top of a horse lent by Sugriva. 😎

RkJ, I posted your Mareech deer suggestion in the Deer Diaries 😆

One thing I didn't get - if Ravan wants Sita to be his dasi, why is he torturing her? He just needed to tell her to go on her knees, give her a wet rag, and ask her to wipe the floors. That would be humiliating enough, but to do that, Sita would have to be well fed and energetic.

Also, if he wanted revenge, why did he stop Shurpi from blinding her? And here, Shurpi was right - Sita is her dasi, dasis had no rights, so it was totally up to Shurpi on whether Sita lived or died.

One thing though - I did enjoy Ravan's taunts to Shurpi on how she came back w/ her nose cut, and how she couldn't stop Sita from staring @ her 😆 And Meghnad stopping her from going ahead to hurt/kill Sita - just fantastic!!! 😎

I also enjoyed this blunt dialoguebaazi of bro-sis. they both were so taunting to each other!!...not only raavan's taunt, but shurpi's taunt when he stops her from attacking Sita and Raavan's rxn to that was fun to watch. this Raavan-Shurpi combo and their blunt exchange of dialogues with each other is pure entertainment.

very well said dear. . As per Valmiki, right from start, Ravan 's apkarn, Sita Maa looks at Ravan like a dirt anda person who is seeking his own destruction.
