Liked the beginning. Agree Ram was relieved and happy that Sita will accompany him. He had to say Yes, because he didn't have a strong point to oppose Sita's reasoning. That ended well.

The scene with Dasarath was very good. Felt so bad for him when he spoke to Sita. Rightly he told Ram that he had already stated his decision, then why seek permission now?
And then to Lakshman when he asks him what about seva to pita?

Ram's dharma sankat part. So it seems like he has always felt and sensed Kaikeyi feeling insecure and feeling Bharat inferior to Ram, not liking Dasarath always praising Ram etc..He has never doubted Sumitra. The line that all four grew together, equally educated, got married at the same time, Then that means the other two brothers are also equally eligible to become king na?
I guess since he understood Sumitra's heart so well, and always felt Kaikeyi restless, he concluded that this is why he felt that way and she cleared his Sankat.

I dont know Aparna. Rama feeling bad that Bharata is not around for coronation is ok. But this dharma sankat is totally weird for me. Dharma is beyond morality. It has implications beyond and cant be selective. Thats why for him his dad's promise to kaikeyi and his own promise to kaikeyi is enough.

Dasharatha scene was superb. Writers are consistent with his scenes. Powerful. I just wish there is Rama-Kausalya scene.

Kaushalya and sumitra seem to be sidelined in this last few episodes
Even Sita dialogs with them seemed wrong.

Good episode. Again the scene with Dasarath was so sweet and sad, especially when he pleads that Ram is his jeevan ka adhaar and without Ram there won't be any life in him.

The sisters scene was good.

Loved Sumatra's advise. Even her son is going away for to vanvaas. Yet she stood strong and advised Lakshman.

While Ram says nothing to Kaushalya and Sumitra, and he only looks at them, bows to them, why is it that he has to always say something to Kaikeyi. Every time he is in front of her he has these long dialogues. Except for the first day line 'ma, bas itni si baat', all others about Dharma sankat or today's vanvaas dharm aur uski mahatva ke liye aapka abhar seem too sugary. What is the need for these lines..

yes..well pointed out..dis dharm sankat of Sriram was beyond my understanding.

Also, wen he said that he wants the vachan from kakayi to take care of his father and her husband as Dashrath loves her very much...dat was also highly sugar coated and not needed...Dashrath now only has extreme hate for kakayi..nothin else...and dats justifiable as well after all wat all she has done.

I always wonder why people do not raise question on the wrong doers. Is dharm to be followed only by good people at heart. and wen someone takes advantage of the siutuatn, it is quite understood dat he or she will be hated for the deed.

Nothing much happened today. They are stopped by praja & Jabali.

Their interaction has always been interesting. Jabali points out things from different angles.
Rama's explanation was good that he needs to set an example for his praja because they idolize him. A promise given must be fulfilled no matter what. We have to be true to ourselves about fulfilling the vachan with a clear conscience, and no hatred against the other person.

Like the Shiva-Parvati convo which we see quite often and the explanation Shiva gives about the situation. Today Ram was given the name Purushottam.

The rest was all Raavan and his quest.

Ram leaves the citizens to go further with Sita and Lakshman to the forest. He leaves them in tears and gives them no other option but to go back to Ayodhya.
There are 2 reasons for what he did. Foremost was the love he had for his praja. In their moment of sorrow, overwhelmed by their emotions Ramayan says that the men left with Ram and the wives and children asked their men to follow their Ram and stay with him. All occupations were abandoned and Ayodhya becomes empty of life and prosperity that it was known for. Shri Ram did not want that.

One other reason is that he promised kaikeyi that Bharath would become king. In true sense, an empty Ayodhya would mean Bharath would be king to an empty city, which would make him no king. Ram could not allow that to happen. He made sure that the citizens returned back to Ayodhya and bharath could be king in true sense.

Even when starting what would be a difficult journey, Shri Ram still kept thinking of everyone else. 😊

Just that Sita took the decision today and not Ram. Since its SKR. I don't mind. And they take off on a 'Chariot' :-)

The Praja also have 2 reasons to want to follow Rama. One, it is their beloved Rama who lives for his Praja. They are overwhelmed with extreme sadness about his vanvaas. Second is an uncertainty they feel deep down about Bharat becoming King. They have had no interaction with him like with Rama and are unsure what his rule will be like. They feel safe with Rama.

Here Rama's line was very important asking his Praja to put their faith in Bharat and see for themselves that he is Rama's reflection. That is the assurance their hearts need. If Rama himself is requesting them to trust Bharat then they will do it.

Surpanakha is OTT screaming even considering the fact that she a Rakshasi.

It was nice to see the trio making the people comfortable.

The praja at this point is still not sure as to how much Bharath is complicit with Kaikeyi's plans. They do not know if bharath was also involved. Hence it is hard for them to accept someone who could even be remotely connected to their beloved Ram's departure.
Bharath in Ramayana actually sees the state of the city when coming back and his worry becomes multifold at something having happened.

Also bharath starts after King Dasharath's death. King Dasharath is unable to take the sorrow and during the entire night , he and Kousalya lament on what happened. Finally King Dasharath tells kousalya of the curse from Shravan Kumar s parents. They let him sleep and he passes away in the night broken hearted. Guru Vashist then sends trusted ministers to bring Bharath and Shatrugnan back as the citu remains without a king.
There are beautiful explanations on what happens to a kingdom without a king that is explained. I think we are not getting any of this as Bharath is already on his way.
