Bharath in Ramayana actually sees the state of the city when coming back and his worry becomes multifold at something having happened.

Also bharath starts after King Dasharath's death. King Dasharath is unable to take the sorrow and during the entire night , he and Kousalya lament on what happened. Finally King Dasharath tells kousalya of the curse from Shravan Kumar s parents. They let him sleep and he passes away in the night broken hearted. Guru Vashist then sends trusted ministers to bring Bharath and Shatrugnan back as the citu remains without a king.

There are beautiful explanations on what happens to a kingdom without a king that is explained. I think we are not getting any of this as Bharath is already on his way.

Liked yesterday and today's kevat prasang. But I thought there was his line about asking Rama to take him across the 'sansaara saagaram' in return for taking them across the Ganga. Reminded me of the song 'ramaya tandri O ramaya tandri'

Liked all the Ayodhya scenes. From Sumantra's dilemma about how to face Dasaratha to Kaushalya finally realizing Rama actually went away for vanvaas, Guru Vashishth sternly trying to make Dasaratha realize his Kingly duties, and finally Dasaratha's breakdown.
