Since yesterday's episode, Rama's dilemma was bothering me too. It seemed yesterday he was thinking about all his brothers and not Bharat in particular. Today his dialogue to Kaikeyi when she comes to the river Sarayu made me think that Bharat is who he was particularly worried about yesterday.I think he has always felt that Kaikeyi did not like Dasarath praising Ram so much. Also when Bharat & Shatrughna return from their long stay at Kaikeya and Kaikeyi goes as a warrior to receive and test Bharat and she is so proud of him. All this has made Rama realize what Kaikeyi wants for Bharat. At this point i don't think he is aware of Dasarath's promises to Kaikeyi's father. Based on what he has seen of Kaikeyi's behavior he has concluded that she may object to his Rajyabhishek.I think this is what the CVs are trying to show here.

Today's episode was much better. the listlessness on ram's face is kind of gone. And everyone is feeling the excitement.
Valmiki dedicated almost one whole sarga to the joy in Ayodhya. But here it's very measured. What is not measured is ravan's screen time. Kaikeyi's reaction was expected( from yesterday's precap).
What doesn't go well with me is her flaunting 'adhikar' on rama in this matter. Rajyabhishek is not giving inheritance rights to a vast family property but deciding ruler of a kingdom. And a very serious matter. Still can't get what has mother's rights over son have to do with it. Especially in an era where there was lot of detachment observed. Little kids were sent away to gurukuls.
I also don't understand Ram's dilemma. Why was he looking for kaikeyi's approval? Does he suspect her? Does he not have intrinsic faith in her love towards him? In the famous Rama's birthday scene from the past, he senses something in her mind. He talks about adhikaron Ka hanan(yesterday). Hey ram!!! Having an iota of doubt on his father's decision is not the rama I know. In all this, his feeling bharat's absence is the only thing. Whose adhikar is he talking about? Kaikeyi's or bharat's. Kausalya is crown queen n Rama the eldest n most deserving as determined by the esteemed court of people. Saves n ministers.if Bharat has adhikar, so do Lakshman n shatrughna. Does Rama know what dasharatha's promise to kaikeyi's father?
He knows how much she loves her. He does know all this and has no doubts. The Rama I know is straight as an arrow.
Except that CVs want to show some other version.
In valmiki ramayan, when Bharat goes to meet Rama in forest, rama mentions about the promise of dasharatha to kaikeyi's father. So he knew it. But it was never about adhikaron ka hanan.
U guys think Sarawati Mata will be making a difference in Kaikeyi thinking??

I think by trying to show Ram as sensitive to everyone, they have muddied the waters about what Ram is saying. I am interpreting Ram s actions as his sensitivity towards Kaikeyi's feelings similar to when he wrote a letter to her about Sita. Otherwise this would not be Shri Ram if he knew the truth about the Vachan and kept quiet. In vanvaas, when Ram mentions to Bharath about the vachan, it is because he is tod by kaikeyi. As soon as Ram hears that his father has given his word, he agrees without a murmur.. no questions asked.

The amazing part in Ram's acceptance is that he hears of the decision to have him go to the forest from kaikeyi and not from King Dasharath who has fainted and is in a swoon by then. But Ram's reply to her is kindness itself. The fact that it did not move kaikeyi even a bit explains how much Manthara had brain washed her.
The other beautiful part is Sita's reaction to the news and her discussion with Ram insisting on accompanying him. It brings out the characters in total and is an amazing section to understand just how great Sita and Ram were.

You said it. Rama hears from Kaikeyi and he feels his father's pain.Dasharatha says to Rama, "you are a warrior.fight for your right, defeat me in battle and put me in jail and claim what is yours'.Kausalya says, "I have lived a life of rejection. Dasharatha hardly visits my room. I have nothing here. I will come with you".But Rama and Sita's convo is the best. Runs into almost 3 sargas. Sita pleads and pleads. When Rama keeps arguing, she says something that is very stunning(you know) and revisits it much later.
