Okay putris! I am back...had a kanth bhar kar bhojan so I am quite energized!

I see people talking about Kavita Kane's book, I have to make this confession that it is an incomplete book...She just published it because she had to! I've never come across a book so blotched as this one...Urmila was hardly there and no in case you people are expecting a fire-brand woman then let me tell you you'll find none! Even Sita had a certain vampish streak in her!!😕

Completely agree! In her silly attempt to portray Ram-Sita humane, she totally butchered both of them. And Urmila just keeps giving feminist pravachan. Keikeyi's glorification is amazingly pathetic!

You know there were so many positive reviews about her writing and her book that on a whim I bought all three of her books! Sita's sister was the one I read first and I was baffled with commotion in it! Most laughable aspect was that vampish streak in Sita and she destroyed Lakshman!! He was shown as a man who wasn't capable of taking own decision, and yes the pseudo-feminist approach of Urmila was...I don't even have words...this by far has to be the most blotched up rendition of Ramayan!

And Karna's Wife, firstly she made Draupadi a legit vamp there who has no regard for anyone but herself and then she shoved that Karna-Draupadi angle that is simply non-existent! I mean how can a woman love a man who instigated her molestation?? And then she goes on to justify Karna's act as well! Uruvi who is the narrator is nothing but drab and Miss Kane here tried comparing her to the feisty Draupadi! I have no intention of reading Menka's choice for I know I'll be disappointing there...so much in the name of writing!

My advise would be don't read Sita's Sister: you'll be in for disappointment!

Shivani...I already did the blunder of reading Sita's sister.😆 And I have no intention to repeat it by going for her other two books. She has become a strict no-no for me as of now. Thankfully, I did not buy any of them.. 😆 It was an ebook that I read.

I like the urmila and lakshman characters in Ramayan.

Till now CVs have potrayed the story of Urmila and laksman aesthetically...(in my opinion).
I hope they continue to show the story..😳 and give them enough screen space...

How to post reply😕...
Guys help me..
