I agree with Janaki.
Uttar Kand is their happiest time.
I read a story somewhere that, to help Ram fill the void of not bringing up his own children, Urmila suggests that Lakshman should allow Ram to play with their children whenever possible. So, Ram got to help in raising Lakshman's kids.
