Karan Suchak bagged his first TV show at the gym
The actor who did two costume dramas, Savitri and Mahabharat, before his current show, feels such shows have a different connect with the audience. He says, "When the audience are being told a story from history or mythology through a visual medium, they connect to it. Having said that, this show is not too different from regular saas-bahu sagas on TV."
For Karan, who wanted to be a cricketer, an acting offer came to him for Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai when he was working out in the gym. Feeling lucky to be at the right place at the right time, Karan says, "Acting was not on my mind as a career option. As a kid I did many plays and people did tell me that I should explore acting as an option. But I was always inclined towards sport and also played cricket for Gujarat at the state level. I guess it was destiny that I became an actor."He adds, "I think I was very lucky that I got a role when I was just working out in the gym. My life has changed completely from that day, everything has changed. After Ek Hazaaron Mein..., I did Savitri, Mahabharat and Pavitra Rishta. My journey in the industry has been pretty busy from the moment I joined it and that is how I want it to be as long as I am an actor."
Talking about his interests, Karan says, "I keep myself busy at all times. I spend most of my time working out in the gym which in turn helps me to be part of this industry. I am very passionate about my health,I make sure that I'm fit and fine. I play the keyboard and like to compose music. I am also very spiritual. I watch online videos and read books on spirituality. But we hardly get time to indulge in our interests now because of our busy schedule."
