Once he lifts the bow and breaks it, it becomes logical to him that sita would be his wife.. He asks her today once again to reassure if she really wishes to marry him... The way he said "maine pariksha de di dhanush tod ke" so he wants to say he does wants to marry her... It's not just that he broke the bow so he's marrying her.. He has a sense of admiration of her, her habits, her nature, her unders

Daydreamers, Thank ou so much for answering and solving my confusion. Your interpretation makes so much sense..more than the episode. I guess I just couldn't connect the dots but now I get it.

My husband kept asking mewhy are you watching the same scene so many times😆

Intuition vs logic...which is so true..women are gifted with intuition and men with logic.

I am going to watch that scene again and finally enjoy it. Thank you

@DD thanks a lot dear. You actually elaborated my points in a beautiful way. Actually in the fri episode I want to put this logic and intuition. Lack of time made me make short posts. I mean talk to a man in the language he understands. A man needs facts or an intuition backed with logic. And a woman needs logic that appeals to her heart. So in a nutshell a woman has to talk in a language a man understands and a man has to act in a way a woman understands.
For e.g we need to know Sita when she talks about the abnormality of nature, she takes the water, gives to him and tells the water of rain cannot be this cold. So her intuition of abnormality she is backing with her experience and knowledge. See that logic makes Ram takes position, to act. Many women blabber around missing this point of logic. And men act even not thinking why his better half is feeling such a thing.

If this language of logic and intuition is understood the communication between man and woman becomes much easier.

@DD people are reading " Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" to understand man-woman relation. It is one of the best selling book and even I have read it.
Look deep and our Ramayana has that theory told in a practical manner than so tips and tricks. Each time I see Ramayan and Mahabharath this thought nags me. As a person who have extensively read western fiction and non-fiction, I sometimes cries in frustration. The knowledge is there in my roots then why it is not getting the extensive publicity as this half baked ones.

IF 😡

My posts are always getting lost... I'll again edit it slowly...

I grew up reading and watching Ramayana shruthi... As a kiddo I was in love with it.. Even today I am... I never understood Mahabharata. Was way too complex for me.. But my mom made it a point to make me aware of small stories or instances from it.. Like draupadi cheerharan, the final swarg walk, bhishma pratigya, etc.. She made it a point to teach me the related lessons... The theory of karma... And I started understanding it...

There might not be any archeological evidence to prove these timeless epics and I guess that's the reason my generstion sees it to be a mere piece of philosophy...

Plus there have been so many frauds regarding preachers, religious gurus... The generation seems to have lost faith in it owing to the present scenario...

We need to move on to see these epics as more than just philosophy...

Wonderful post as always Shruti!
Loved the way you had emphasised on its present day relevancec!
Absolutely agree about the fact that to be we'd couples should use their time between engagement and marriage in the right way so as to clarify their doubts , reconfirm certain assumptions etc .

But that hardly seems to take place between many !
It seems almost hard to believe as to how quickly some couples decide to part after marriage when they had spent considerable time chatting before the knot is tied .
As you had rightly mentioned the show has been put to right use of getting this very important message .
Just hope it is rightly understood though!

@vipraja no one can alone bring change. But we can try. When I write I know there are many young readers who throng my post. If atleast couple of them understand the essence and change their lives, that itself is a big thing. Through them next couple of people will change. It is a chain reaction. Negative spreads fast. But if some effort is put positive also can spread is my take.
I always have the choice of looking into what is not correct in SKR as per the original Ramayan and put my thoughts in the distortion thread. I have another option of finding out if there is something good in the episode and pen my thoughts on the same for wider audience to read. That gives me more inner peace as I share my positive knowledge with others. And for me when I write inner peace is of utmost importance as writing is stress buster for me.
