@ Shruthi, don't worry, even I am in that league but this being Shriram and Sita and the moment was so crucial, I could not view that in romantic angle. May be I can write in that angle later.

Lovely thought, Shruti.
I felt Ram waited just for Vishwamitr's orders. He had come here to only on his Guru's decision. It'd look odd if he suddenly started having ideas of his own. By now he must have known that Sita was destined to be his...he didn't have any doubts regarding his ability to lift the dhanush...but he didn't want to do it to earn any applause for his capabilities. If he was to step forward, he needed his Guru's permission and blessings first. He was ready to fight the princes since that is what Vishwamitr had seemingly wanted...did he really want him to participate in a competition? He waited for that order to come too...

And when that came, he stepped forward and declared he was doing it to restore Janak's and Sita's sammaan...not because he felt pressurised by any challenge that had been thrown at him by the egoistic crowd...

In other words, the crowd and its demands would not guide his actions...👏

Though Ram was a prince ...before starting his journey he had promised vishwamitra that he would do as he says. And more over he never came there to participate in the swamyamvar.
From sita's or woman's point of view if you see then its such a sad situation. She couldnt express her feelings towards ram. Nor ram came to swamyamvar for her. She was insulted and her land and father abused verbally ...after going through all this still ram wasnt there to help her ...he waited mute for his guru or niyati to get him to help sita and janak.
If in real life or in daily soaps ...girl would have rejected this proposal saying dhanush uthaya toh kya ... where were u when i needed you and moreover you were seeing and hearing all the insult and didnot budge ... only when ur guru said u did it...so are you gonna wait for his orders all your life for any task?...

but one should also see sita's patience and her bhakti in this situation.

@kanak Ram knew vishwamitra will give him permission. Kanak and lakshman has ensured that. He waited for permission to ensure sita not only got acceptance now, but his family too accept her. Problem with today's girls is that when they run away from home or if the guy marries her without his parents permission and take her to his home she will suffer insult only. There are certain things that needs to be checked before marriage. It is not 2 individuals. It's 2 families. Vishnu avatar you need to understand their subtle manipulation. Krishna it is more visible. Ram I am understanding was not far behind

Today I was debating about couple of points to discuss, whether Janak's line of bendind the rules, breaking of Shiv Dhanush. But I have decided today to stick to the Acharan or action of our Maryada Purushottam.

Yes Lakshman was agitated that his brother is not considered for lifitng Shiv Dhanush. Lakshman's view was myopic. He was only considering about the challenge of lifting the dhanush. And like a loving and doting brother who didnt like the fact when his Ram Bhaiyya is there how can a king of another land say there is no one capable of doing such a tough task. Lakshman was carried away by emotions.
And the kings they are anyway morons, they took Ram's silence as Ram's fear to accept the challenge. They laughed that he is standing mute because he is in a embarrassed situation.

But what was the real reason Ram stood mute. Ram was mute not because he was afraid to face the challenge. Ram was mute because it was not a competition where you are going to get a trophy. It was a condition for marrying a woman. If he lifts the dhanush he was going to get a wife. After lifting it he cannot tell, I won the competition but I dont want the girl.

To participate in a swayamvar he needed permission. He had not come from his home send by his parents to participate in this swayamvar. And as a noble born and a noble son it was not right for him to go on his own and participate in the swayamvar.

But he gets order from his guru to go and string the bow, to relieve Raja Janak of baseless allegations. When Viswamitra asks him to do so he moves ahead because in absence of the parents, guru can take a stand and a shishya is suppose to obey the guru. When Vishwamitra told he gets the right to participate in the swayamvar.

And if you look when he agrees he clearly says I will do it because it is essential for the respect of not only Raja Janak, but also Sita. His action was completely justified and in line with the tagline of Maryada Purushottam.

He understood the maryada of Swayamvar, and behaved accordingly. And each of his step from the time he take blessings to the moment he lifts the dhanush we can see confidence and humility oozing through him. Ashish simply nailed it. And that smile at Siya when he lifts the bow 😳. I am going need to watch it again😳😳

Ashish & Madirakshi super duper nailed it & You nailed it here with the super detailing..wohaaa😳

@shruti...what u r saying is correct but what i am saying is what sita must have felt that very moment...when she didnt see ram or when he came didnt move ...its basically a girls opinion which also should also matter...
I agree nowadays girls run and marry ...and r then insulted at in laws place but just think of that...not everyones niyati is so strong that they would meet the one they love...then we say oh may be we were not destined to meet...ppl want to change their destiny as per their own choices...i dont know whether it is good or bad becoz sita was destined for ramji but then she suffered a lot too...

Anyways eager to c main part today...
