Tere Ishk Mein has reached theatres and the first signs point toward a strong beginning for the Dhanush and Kriti Sanon film. Early trade chatter already indicates that the opening day can land comfortably above the 10 crore mark in net collections at the Indian box office. The advance stage has done much of the heavy lifting and the initial turnout suggests that the film could exceed earlier expectations.
The run up to release worked in the film’s favour. The trailer created consistent curiosity and the music connected quickly, which helped the film gather a solid pre release presence. This translated directly into ticket sales across regions and formats as the release day approached.
Advance Ticket Sales Cross Key Milestones
The final twenty four hours of pre release booking saw a sharp rise in interest. Tere Ishk Mein sold close to 2.41 lakh tickets for day one, not counting blocked seats. Out of this number, more than 2.14 lakh belonged to the Hindi version while around 26.5 thousand were for the Tamil version. The data revealed a clear tilt toward Hindi screens, which already had more than 12500 shows, compared to a little above 1000 Tamil shows.
The total pre sales figure stood at 5.65 crore gross in India. When blocked seats were included, the number climbed to 9.26 crore. This positioned the film among the stronger pre sale performers of the year. The figure gave the makers enough confidence going into release day, especially since the film is not tied to any holiday advantage. The film secured the seventh highest opening day pre sales in 2025.
Standing Among The Top Performers Of 2025
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AJsFRNJGZ8&list=RD9AJsFRNJGZ8&start_radio=1The ranking list for the year currently appears as follows. War 2 sits at the top with 21 crore in pre sale business. Chhaava is next with 13.85 crore. Sikandar stands at 10.09 crore. Saiyaara follows with 9.4 crore. Housefull 5 made 8.02 crore. Thamma brought in 6.37 crore. Tere Ishk Mein holds 5.65 crore. Baaghi 4 reached 5.54 crore. Sky Force recorded 3.82 crore. Sitaare Zameen Par closed with 3.31 crore.
This placement shows how well Tere Ishk Mein has performed for a romance driven story. The year has already seen a mix of genres dominate the pre sale charts, yet the Dhanush and Kriti starrer has still managed to stand in the top tier. The positioning also hints at a strong day one outcome if the walk in audience continues at the same pace through the afternoon and night shows.
Early Day One Turnout And Market Divide
According to Sacnilk, the film had already collected 2.09 crore by the time early figures were compiled. Since the afternoon, evening, and night shows tend to contribute a larger share, the first day may comfortably move into double digit territory. The distribution of show counts between Hindi and Tamil markets has created an interesting contrast. With over 2.1 lakh Hindi tickets sold compared to around 26000 Tamil tickets, the market gap is wider than usual, especially considering that Dhanush has a strong base in Tamil cinema.
Hindi audiences contributed about 5.3 crore from advance booking, while Tamil contributed roughly 34 lakh. Some analysts believe that a larger show count in the Tamil belt could have produced a more balanced spread. Even with this difference, the overall opening indicators remain encouraging.
If the film receives favourable responses from both viewers and reviewers, the weekend can prove highly productive. The film’s momentum depends heavily on how word of mouth settles across cities and smaller markets. The next forty eight hours will decide whether Tere Ishk Mein can convert its initial spark into sustained theatrical power.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, the film features Dhanush, Kriti Sanon, Prakash Raj, music by A R Rahman, and writing by Himanshu Sharma and Neeraj Yadav.
