hi, i also want to see some backstory of Vishvamitra-Vashista as well.
And, who wants to see Sita as Ravanas daughter? that's very disturbing, and i hope the creative team doesn't stick to this part of the variation.

I'm pretty sure there will be scenes of Rama admiring Ravana, and i don't think its wrong. Ravana did have some good qualities in him. I want the CVS to depict this way rather than show Ravana completely evil, after all he was a Shiva bakti.

Was Ravan truly a Shiva bhakt? If he was, then wouldn't he have recognized Hanuman, who was the incarnation of Lord Shiva? Instead, he insulted Hanuman by setting fire to his tail.

Ravan's bhakti does not erase all his wrong deeds. A person like him today, who rapes women and thinks he can control them, wouldn't be respected in society, so why should CVs show him as good?

Exactly, this is why I cannot tolerate people praising Ravan and saying he was a good man before Sita haran. He wasn't. Did people forget that long before Sita haran, he raped Rambha and many other women, and forcibly brought women from all over the world into his harem to be his mistresses? All these women together cursed Ravan that since he doesn't respect womankind, it'll be a woman who is the cause of his death. What's the use of knowledge and religion when one doesn't have basic humanity? Sita haran was merely what made Ravan's cup of sins tip over, but he committed many crimes beforehand also.

As for Draupadi, I respect both her and Sita equally. Draupadi needed to be fierce due to the people she dealt with in her life. They were worse than even Ravan. Both Draupadi and Sita lived through different circumstances, so it's unfair to compare them.

Trust, I can't understand how people can worship a womaniser? A few days back my M-I-L too was saying the same thing. Though Ravan was a great king but he had one trait and that he was a womaniser. And, yes I respect both Sita and Draupadi since both had the courage to stand up and fight against evil.

Of course Ravana's bakti will not erase all his wrong deeds! What he did was wrong and there are no justifications for it. But, If he was not Shiva Bhakti he would not have gotten the boom, would he? But his bhakti was soon dissolved due to his ignorance and evilness. Yes, Ravana is evil, he was cruel, but he was at some point a Shiva bhakti also.

ravan was a shiv-bhakt, but he use his devotion to gain power,so,he is not a true bhakt, well, his shiva tandav stotra is awesome though. and if they show him as sita's real father i will stop watching the show, anyway the chance for showing that is next to nothing because they have showed rajarshi janak in a great way.

also sita was an incarnation of laxmi so was a goddess not a normal human like draupadi was. and i agree draupadi dealt with people worse than ravan
