hi sabhyata, and guys, yes, there are distortions but, i think i like the show.. btw, did dasharath performed ashwamedh yagna? mujhe toh nahi lagta, i thinkwe should just wait and watch. and @janki i always wait for your feed back, please post your comments on the epi.

Ya distortions were expected but its extent that matters

I watch this show on and off .The only thing i liked till now is that they showed the Shanta storyline which many people wouldn't be aware of so that was good.Rest all Ram and Sita meeting before swayamabr and Sita stopping ashwmedha yajna and all is ridiculous i dont think any version says this.

Why aren't they showing Ram and Lakshman in Vishwamitra ashram storyline now.

guru vishwamitra should be introduced in the storyline because, it was him who taught ram how to use divyastras. btw, i liked how they used quiver instade of graphicaly created arrows. 😉

Today's war scenes were Superb. This is how I want my Ram and Lakshman to fight. Thats probably how Ram would have fought in those days .. Case in point: Ram single handedly destroying thousands and thousands of warrriors of Khar and Dooshan during Vanvas
I just hope they don't show Ram and Lakshman killing Subahu in tomorrow's episode. Hope they get beaten and run away. Because the death happens only when Ram and Lakshman guard Viswamitra's ashram.

What's with this Ashwamedha yagna and Dasarath ?They are now showing a promo of Sita capturing the horse. This means that they have turned SKR into an absolute fictional drama, adding twists and turns as they please. Thats what the makers did in Starbharat and Mahadev ke ram.. I know comparisons aren't allowed but merely mentioned the names to make my point..

Hi All,
What to say, everybody said so well but I just want to say Ramayan is very close to my heart and this version is not connecting me. So it is not Ramayan and I won't accept it in the name of Ramayan and not going to watch it anymore.

Valmiki Ramayan, does not mention, Rama meeting Sita, before Rama breaking Shiv Dhanush., there is not even a mention of svayamwar.
If we follow that, what we have seen / read , regarding them meeting in push vatika, before svayamvar, is all fiction.

But that is what we have read / seen / got used to being shown...never had any issues., enjoyed those sequences all the same.

In this book " Sita" by Devdutt pattanaik, Rama ., Lakshmana, meet Sita and her sisters, when Sita and sisters along with Kushadwaja come to witness Yagna performed by Viswamitra,

Conversations happen, between all of them, and Sita and her sisters, are witness to Rama killing Tadaka per that book..

The point is we can consider any thing other than Valmiki's Ramayana as a fiction.

Its only that, that fiction, which we are used to watch., we feel, comfortable, and which we are seeing for the first time, looks questionable.

All the Pushp Vatika and Swayamvar stories are from Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas, which is as revered and respected as Valmiki Ramayan by people. So no, those stories are not fiction.

As for Devdutt Patnaik, he's no scholar. His "Sita" is a fictional account merely inspired by his imagination that has no basis in the actual story. So if Nikhil Sinha is going to follow his book as he appears to be doing, then this show is nothing but fiction (like we knew all along).

The recent two episodes of SKR have been nothing but fiction. They are only using the names of the characters and completely weaving their own story.

It's not even worth my time commenting on what's true and what's not, because the entire episodes have been false for a long time. In fact, this serial is not Ramayan. It's just a fictional work meant for mere entertainment, definitely not knowledge.
