According to Janaki Akka,this story of Sita being Ravan's daughter was neither there in the Valmiki Ramayan nor in the Ramcharitramanas by Tulsidas.I think that Neelkanthan selected this version because it portrayed Ravan in a more sympathetic light.

True.. and thankfully that ship has already sailed in this version too :) Raavan coming to the swayamvar takes away any further inkling to make him Sita's father.. I am glad that we will not have that distortion...

and why should any of us bash jk?accent ki aisi ki taisi, jaao jaake sony main dekho, perfect hindi speaking raavan, but his acting skils are... well, he is overacting kaa dukaan.

Exactly I don't know about Ramcharitmanas but Valmiki's version I was sure about it.

My problem with Neelkanthan's books are that he tries to portray his central characters as angels or something.If you are writing a book on Ravan or Duryodhan,then that's fine.Throw some light on their positive side.But do not forget that they have done bad deeds too.Overlooking their bad side doesn't help.In Asura,Ravan kidnapped Sita becoz he was concerned for her as a father.In Ajaya,Duryodhan was a poor,little child who was bullied by Bheem.

SMBH ke Ravan ko tum ravan kehte ho?? I saw him only for two epis and baap re baap

and the most loved positive charecters of the epics are butchered there, that's why i have a problem with mr. neelkantans writings.

Yes,that's one of the problems.The most challenging part of writing a book is that you have to show the negative and positive aspects of both the sides.Mr Neelkanthan turns his protagonists into villains or something.I remember in Ajaya,Lord Krishna's character was a bit grey shaded

Ravan kam overacting karne waala comedian zyada lag raha tha.They made a complete circus out of Lankapati Ravan🤢

main ne toh us namune ko intro main hi reject kar diyaa thaa, bachchon ki raamleela ka raavan lag rahaa thaa. as for jk, woh toh saakshat lankapati lag rahaa hain.
