A child is always curious, wants to know, understand things by asking questions. Many things are mysterious for a child. Character growth is possible only when they are allowed to ask questions & proper answers are given accordingly. Supressing them, stopping them doesnt work.
Janak is quite open about Sita's education. He clearly shows how open minded parents can contribute in building up a well balanced character. He doesnt listen to Sunaina, who is scared of doing unconventional things. But she understands & allows the girls to go in search of the Cows.
