Does anyone else feel that a younger and more glamorous actress should've been cast for keikeyi? She was a warrior and the most beautiful of Dashrath's wives and she definitely was not a 'vamp' but simply a medium for ram to reach his destiny. Why did they take an actress (albeit good seasoned actress) associated with mostly negative roles?!? Simone Singh made 100% sense because she's glamorous and can play the positive and grey shades with a bit more subtlety. I'm personally not keen on this bit of casting. What say?

Agree with you,Grusha is a gud actress but not a very gud choice for the character of kaikai..i love sumitra out of all.

how i wish she did .. she would have perfect in lookwise nd acting wise too .. but its ok the current one seems a good actresss ...

Completely agree with you. Sumitra is very beautiful among all.
And Simone would have been perfect.

Its not about beauty actually but the current actress who plays Keikayi looks matured in front of Sumitra and Kaushalya. Hence someone else who was younger could have done justice. Although current one is very good in acting.

Simone Singh was perfect haha.

Actually Kekayi is shown to bit a more glamorous. That's it! Otherwise she is positive from heart, as it was reflected from her dialogues to Manthra. I think they wanted to take someone who can later portray Kekayi with care. 😃

I liked the actress and she is cool as vamp in the past I have faith in her she will pull off this character with ease .
Kaikaye isn't not totally a vamp its that selfishness and love for her son will make her do so as she did in this epic .
Main story starts from her infact .
Trust me actress is best casted according to me it's not about glamour it's about the graph of the acting skill and actress is pretty decent .
Sumitra is perfect too whole team infact director is awesome in casting .
Simone not really she is best in positive role not grey it doesn't suite her .
