I agree with you regarding casting. Yes Simone Singh would've been perfect. Among the 3 wives shown here , not just Sumitra , even Kaushalya I found more beautiful than Kaikeyi. So yeah disappointed.

But this one is good acting wise, so that's some thing, i loved how she delivered the lines about Ram to Manthara.

btw that was d first thing that came to my mind when I saw her, she was a warrior so no way could she have been so plump...and her clother and jewellery so don't suit her...!! wont be surprised if she gets changed later on...by a better actress...simone singh would hv been d perfect option...👏

I like the actress but she does not fit the description of Kekayi. Dashrath was so taken with her because of her beauty and fighting skills in the battleground. Also she was much younger than Dashrath and younger than both Kaushalya and Sumitra too.

Probably they could not find the one who could be young and could enact the complex grey role well. This actress seems more capable of doing so.
