Janki's number one priority has always been about Raunak. So seeing her not really care about Neeti makes sense. Plus Janki doesn't really want Neeti to marry Vinay either.
The drama right now is all focused on Raunak and Kajal because of Akshay's sudden death and Sakshi's illness. Raunak and Kajal had a "fake marriage" to save Sakshi so Raunak's situation has to be handled first.
But I agree the families should be preparing for Vinay and Neeti's wedding. But considering Akshay's recent death, Sakshi's illness, and now Aunt Radhika (Akshay's mom) acting angry at both Kajal and Neeti there probably won't be a wedding right now. And we also have the new entry of that boss lady vamp that is trying to trap Vinay.
As for Kajal's deal with Janki. I think she is just tired of this. She just lost her husband she is not emotionally prepared to start a new relationship nor in any position to do so. She has respect for Raunak for the help he has been giving but realizes it is best for her and her family that she starts to shoulder her new responsibilities to the household. Vinay just started working. His income isn't enough. Kajal wants to start contributing as well now that Akshay is no longer with them.
As sad it would be to see Raunak get his heart broken again...Kajal has always maintain that one should move on in their lives and not hold onto the past. For Kajal right now Akshay is/was the love of her life. She cannot see anyone filling that spot. And there is just too much drama around Raunak because of his mother. She has nothing against Raunak.
But I am a bit skeptical that Kajal can really do what Janki wants her to do. I am sure there will be some twist or a way Kajal will approach the situation and still somehow abide by the agreement...a loophole that Janki Devi didn't see LOL
