We have all been cribbing about the content that Indian Tele is dishing out. The OTT, extremely negative, impractical and unbelievable nonsense that we get to see as we surf channel after channel.
I watch Naagin and sometimes browse thro SPK... but do keep visiting the forum to check on updates.
In one of my surfing expeditions I happened to check out 3 shows viz.
Bahu Hamari Rajni_Kanth in Life OK timing 8 to 8 30 pm
Ek Duje Ke Vasthe in Sony TV 10 to 10 30 pm mon to fri
Kuch Rang Pyaar ke Aise bhi Sony TV 9.30 to 10 pm mon to fri
I am sure we all know Rajni_Kanth... that is a nice clean comedy show and loved it. A must watch... felt this was a good show pretty close in line with Sarabhai vs Sarabhai standards.
I normally never watch Sony but the above 2 shows caught my attention. Relatively new production houses? But man o man what content and execution!! It was like watching a good show that we have all been craving for... I had to check twice to see if this were really an Indian show!! No saas bahu, no OTT drama, no surreal situation, a relate-able story and lovable characters where the kids dont behave like adults. This was Ek duje ke vasthe. The male lead is super cute and the story goes like IPK. Since I am a sucker for romance like IPK I love EDKV, am Hooked and hope it stays good.
The other Sony Show is more of a family drama but still lovable... given that I am used to watching Simar and Gopi waho :) Such a bout of fresh air!! And a believable mother and MIL! Ah... there is the talk of Sanskar that actually IS sanskar šš unlike so many of our Saas bahu sagas.
For folks who want to have something to watch on mon to fri check these out... I am sure you wont be disappointed.
I only hope that Sony does stand by their decision to air Modern shows and do not end up ruining these shows for TRPs!! In fact my mom a trp aunty seemed to really love these new Sony shows!! šš
