What is selfishness??? Well for me; it's when you put your happiness above others, you give more importance to your thoughts and actions and don't think what consequences it's going to leave on others. It's the general understanding, I suppose.

On my 10th birthday I was going to have a big party....I was so excited about it, in fact, was planning it for two months, but 2 days before mg birthday, my father said; "why don't you celebrate your birthday in an orphanage? And give some gifts to the kids there?" I was okay with it, but then all hell broke loose, when he added that I won't have a party and all the gifts I was going to get, will be given to the orphanage's kids. I protested of course, and my father just smiled at me and said it's okay...he's just teasing.... But even then; I could see his disappointment in me.

I'm 23 now, and still regret that day. In my selfishness, I deprived those kids a moment of happiness they could've gotten.

Coming to the point here; it's been said that Ruhaan is a selfish guy and doesn't think about his friend. Well, maybe. The way I see it, the guy was nurtured in an orphanage, he doesn't even know the names of his parents. He was not born with a silver spoon in his hand nor did he get any extraordinary upbringing. And let's be realistic here; no one really cares in an orphanage if you've had your meals, if your nails are clean, if you show manners to others, if you've been victim of someone's brutal beating.... So I'm assuming that Ruhaan didn't get all these luxury treatment either. The guy has always taken care of himself by himself only. He made a good life for himself by his own hardwork and came out as a winner.

Now he loves a girl but the said girl is already engaged to his best friend. Now, he should be called selfish if he started pursuing that girl, if he seduced that girl, try to allure her towards him. I don't see him doing any of these things. Yes, he cherishes each n every moment he gets with her, but should he be called selfish for that too? I don't think so. Doesn't he deserve even an ounce of happiness? I think he does.

Contrary to the popular belief, I think Ruhaan is quite selfless. He doesn't have an ultimate motive when he understands Mishti's pain and tries to sooth them. I don't think the thought ever crossed his mind that if I show Mishti that I understand her turmoils, she'll come to me. Without even showing any right, any possession over her, he just wants to be there for her. If it's not selflessness then I dunno what is.

It's my thought and people need not agree with it, although I'd appreciate if no one mocks me on this.

👏👏👏 well said well said..Ruhaan can never be said selfish.. If he was selfish he would have already told Mishti about his feelings and asked her to break up with veer...Or he would have done some villain act and got her for himself...But he rather gives her space and let her decide. He tried his maximum to j other hurt veer..His is pure , selfless and unconditional love ..

Thank you so much sweetie💜💜glad that you agree. If a person like Ruhaan is called selfish then There's no one in the whole world who isn't. At some point everyone shows their selfishness. Ruhaan on the other hand yet to show his, cause till now, I haven't found any of is actions that indicates that he's selfish.

Since Ruhaan grew up in an orphanage, I believe he must have met very few people, if anyone at all, who must have cared for him in a selfless and pure way. So, I feel he must be valuing true relationships in his life more so than normal people who may take it for granted. As shown in the serial, Ruhaan and Veer consider each other best friends. No person would like their best friend to have feelings for their fiancee. Considering that, shouldn't Ruhaan be putting up a greater fight towards his feelings for Misti?I hope you don't mind me posting this. Even though, I am disagreeing ,I don't mean to be mocking at all. If you feel like, would love to know your opinion about this.

First thing ,u were immature then so don't regret that day as a child....Be better now ...

Selfish and selflessness are overrated ,we all are selfish to certain extent and selfless in another..

Ruhaan isn't selfish he does know what is right and what is wrong .He has not crosses line or tried even impressing girl.

As said matter of heart are complicated some fall in love at first sight ,yes such PPL exist and some after interaction so why judge.

Ruhaan fell in love and still managed to keep calm exterior .He also realises he is wrong and his words kab sbhlega yeh Toofan shows even he wants his heart to stop being crazy.

Is he bad friend might be ,but say if girl has also fallen for him and doesn't realise should he let girl ruin his friends life in that case?

We can like anyone.... We don't think before falling or someone, do we? It's something which is out of our control. I think Ruhaan is putting as much fight as he can, in fighting his feelings for Mishti. Maybe he should've left the moment he realized that his feelings are going out of his control. He didn't, and as I said, he cherishes each n every moment he gets with her....maybe he wants to have what little time is left before her marriage. We haven't seen him planning n plotting to break their marriage have we? So I guess it's the luxury he's trying to afford before she officially becomes someone else's.And thanks for commenting, I've seen your posts and you're the most unbiased anti Mishaanian😊
