I am trying to understand Mishti as a character but somehow her relationship with veer is very underdeveloped for me to understand why exactly is she marrying him?
She wants a happy family and she wants stability but if she is not happy with Veer, why she thinks that Veer can give her this stability? Is marriage really so important if you are so afraid of getting into it?

Kunal's wrongdoings have definitely affected her but what is the need to marry Veer?

Mishti is Mauli's daughter, Mauli is a woman who went to her work 2-3 days after she got to know about her husband cheating on her, even if Mishti thinks that Kunal cheated on Mauli because she couldn't give him time, isn't Mauli's life a living proof of Kunal not being THE ONE for her? More over didn't she witness happy marriage of Ishaan and Mauli? Mauli worked when she was married to Ishaan.

In the end of S1, Mauli did get her happy ending, I really am not able to fathom how Kunal's EMA is affecting Mishti so much.
I am not criticizing her and I do understand that she is afraid of being cheated on, but why is she sacrificing all this for Veer?

The thing she should understand is that if Veer is important to her then she has to communicate her feelings to him, she is hiding so many things from him, how is she thinking that her relationship will work if she puts up this charade of Mishti in front of Veer? Didn't Veer say that he won't stop Mishti from doing anything?

As a woman, it's completely Mishti's choice not to work after marriage but she shouldn't stop working if she doesn't want to.

I communication is one of the lessons which misty needs to learn.

But given the kind of family they are really living in, I don't blame her for this. If you look into her family no body really tells what they feel either they keep quiet and never share whatever they feel like Pari or even if they share they constantly feel guilty of doing it like misty.

I guess it has become a tradition in their family and they have accepted that it is ok not to say anything that might hurt other person. Their whole family is in messed up state

Communication is banned in Malhotra house.
Kunal and Mauli didn't communicate with each other
After revelation nobody spoke to Mauli, the woman must have needed some kind of emotional support, but she didn't get it.
Mauli had this problem too, she never communicated with anyone, when Mishti got to know about Kunal's truth, I waited for one scene between Mauli and Mishti, reassuring Mishti that nothing will change in her life.
When Pari got to know the truth, nobody spoke to her or explained the situation to her.
They have raised very insecure kids with so many issues, these kids are hiding behind "The sibling love" and keeping the family together like dida.

My takeaway from today's episode was that Mishti has overlooked all the good things that happened in Mauli's life. Though Mauli happily moved on with no regrets and chose the right one for her,Mishti is not ready to take any chances .
Not everyone are lucky enough like Mauli to get a second chance in life so Mishti wants to utilize the first chance perfectly.

She is ready to get married to Veer because she loves the way he loves her but he is not able to give her the emotional stability she is in search of. Her fear of going through a heart break is not letting her trust Veer completely.

Even Kunal was supportive of Mauli's career .. We have so many incidents where he asked her to attend the patients breaking the romatic situations they were in. If loneliness was Kunal's reason for drifting away from Mauli and falling for Nandini. I guess Mishti's decisionto stay at home after marriage is justified 😃

Mishti is a modern woman, I am guessing she had boyfriends before Veer. In real life 2nd chance is not a thing, we go through so many break ups and jerks to finally get that one person and there is as much a chance of his being a jerk, there's no guarantee.

So she likes the way Veer loves her, if she knows that small things lead to big problems in a relationship then she should understand how important is communicating in a relationship, she tried to hard to hide that she kissed Ruhaan. Very contradictory reaction in my opinion

In episode 2 of s2, before the dare kiss, Mishti was saying to Bua that Veer has been the only guy in her life. She has never dated anyone before . So boyfriends and breakups possibility is NULL . Real world and Silsila world is completely different. Do we drink beer 24*7 ?? They do . We avoid parties considering the financial instabilites . They have hired a stripper for a private party.

Ths season is totally detached from reality.

Bold- You have a sensible opinion that would work in my life or your life, in total in real life relationships.
Here Mishti is trying to hide every little issue , even her insecurities , to portray a perfect woman image.

She didn't have a boyfriend before Veer? Woah!!

I think Mishti is very monotonous when it comes to her relationship with Veer, so she is afraid of being cheated on and her complete focus is on that part of her relationship, she wants to be perfect for Veer or any man in her life but in this she is forgetting that in her relationship she has to be happy too, she is not living with Veer right now so it's easy for her to keep that fake image in front of him, but will she be able to act when she gets married?

So she is focusing on the part where she has to keep Veer happy and completely neglecting her own happiness.

Mishti is very passive-aggressive (except with Ruhaan and probably even Pari) so I don't think that she'll ever communicate openly with Veer, especially since he's someone who thinks that his mere presence or love is enough for Mishti to be happy. He has completely ignored the possibility of her harbouring certain insecurities because of her family history. He is, as I stated before, is a very one dimensional character and definitely not the one for her because she's always putting up a facade in front of him, trying to be perfect. Veer isn't in love with her either. He's just very attracted to her and cares for her but not enough to see through her facade. He doesn't see the insecure, scared little girl inside her. His relationship with her is superficial on so many levels.

She's only marrying him because he's her safest bet. Not because she's in love. If you think about it, she's not really in love. She thinks this is right BECAUSE Veer seems stable and perfect but well, he's not. He's far from that.

I am actually surprised to read a practical solution/ real world solution . you are trying to analyse the possible solutions that would work in solving the issues in her life and her relationship with Veer .

Sadly , The writer has decided to do a Love Vs Commitment fiasco

I totally agree with this, I said this yesterday as well. Even Ansh who is so young was unable to communicate with the family. It's not healthy to keep such an integral part of their past a taboo subject around the house. I guess part of the reason is that Ishaan, Mauli, Kunal, and Nandini are dead so no one brings up the topic.

Pari made a great start in the precap by speaking to Mishti. I really hope they open up to each other over time.
