I dint watch but I heard Kunal and Mauli get extremely good scenes before Nandini entered their home.
This made people hate KuNan more. So may be they are trying to show Misthi life is not as perfect as she assumes it to be?

Kunal was madly in love with mauli, then all of a sudden after stupid things like seeing nandini dance saree clad in the rain and silly things like that kunal starts claiming nandini is his true love of sorts. You can never trust them. Besides there are two girls and three guys, so one guy will be left without a girl. I still think Pari and Veer might end up together. Ansh's comment about Veer falling for Pari and Pari's reaction to that wasn't random. At least I don't think it was random.
