Kunal married nandu and had a child. He was very happy for a few years until,she died. He only came back after she died. If she was alive he would still be lving happily with her and pari. That was not infatuation...and they are showing us that ..even though he already said that it was saccha pyaar. This track is probably giving Mauli closure that kunal always wanted a woman like nandu ..And maybe that they would have still broken off because nandu was the type of woman he had wanted and she was not like nandu. Yes it looks shallow ...that he wants kheer and sexy sarees and wants a woman to shower attention on him all the time ..but that's Kunal ..he needs that kind of woman .. he obviously didn't appreciate all Maulis good qualities. And I think everything that has happened already justifies the ending ..that mauli should be with Ishaan because he is the man who values her and is worthy of her love...Kunal just wasn't right for her...as we can see now.

Imagine how this would have played out, if Nandini was still alive. Kunal would come back to love Mauli all over again...as he himself predicted in the first episodes. I might have fallen for your friend, but after that I would have fallen for you.
