Dats why i m feeling bad for nandini death..i also cursed her but i wanted her to repent..i wanted a proper redemption track for nandini..

Whenever Nandini repents n tries to correct the mistakes Kunal pulls her back n encourages to do sin again.She will listen to him😕but whatever Drashti was nice as Nandini

A covert narcissist

Who does not understand what others feel .

The person understands only his or her needs and emotion .

For that person their world revolves around themself .

They leave every one around them confused .

The writers have been super consistent in her character .

Just that viewers could not recognise it .

Most important risk factor for development of narcissism is when u end up feeling neglected in child hood

The upbringing she had ensured she developed into covert narcissist.

Then this was augmented by rajdeep who did not give 2 hoots regarding her .

When this neglect was infact the feeding root for her narcissism.

She was a puppet in his hand because she was scared for her life .

More than being scared she wanted to protect her self . ( she understands only that )

The more he mistreated the more she became narcissistic. A hint of her narcissism was shown when she choose rajdeep over mauli . Reason : she considers herself to be the be all and end all .

To an extend she did not think about mauli when she fell in love and slept with kunal . ( she did not as she could not understand it .The emotional vulnerability of a person should not be confused with emotional maturity . She is a character with no emotional maturity .

Dd portrayed it with 100 % conviction .

Just because random people don't understand intricacies of it and call her things like ...

I think she is a consummate actor . She has worked tremendously and improved herself over years ,

If she was average in dmg , she was brilliant in silsila .

The kind of brilliance which shines out so much .

Kudos to her for portraying it with so much elan .

Thank you for this post. Cannot agree more. Drashti was pitch perfect as Nandini. The problem was the biased writer according to me. Anyways; very happy she quit the show. She deserves better characters to work on. @Anahi: everybody has different likes and dislikes. Hence do not make statements like she was not appreciated for her role. You may not have liked her performance, but others may have. Also since there were many posts from people criticising Drashti's acting (to put it mildly); there can be at least one post praising it by people who have liked it.

dd is a very good actress. no doubt about it.. she had tried her best to portray the confusing character nandini..

but saying that the writers have been consistent in her character sketching is something that i can not agree to... nandini kept changing everyday.. one day she cared about mauli and the other day she was thinking about kunal and herself.. cvs have tried their best to whitewash the ema and nandini too to some extent..

viewers didnt fail to recognise her character but writers failed to execute her well.. i dont understand why people keep giving excuse about her upbringing.. half of indian villages have such atmosphere.. its a male dominating society.. thats not an excuse for being a narcissist..

i agree she wasnt a villanious vamp but she was grey (that too in my head) . for writers she was a naive girl turned into a selfish lady for her happiness but nowhere they wanted to show her an out an out narcissist..

dd is gone so i was intially avoiding this topic but it resurfaced on the first page so thought of replying..

just because one character played by dd has not been appreciated by viewers , we cant say she is a bad actor or something.. she is a good actor but to prove that we dont need to justify her character

Drasti is an amazing actress...I saw her work in DMG and GHSP and became fan of her. But after that I didn't like single character of her...including Madhubala for which she got award. According to me that was actually for her contribution in GHSP...tab bhool gaya tha shayad. For her good works she was not appreciated. I guess for that she is taking one after another bad decision. I was so impressed by her work in GHSP that I watch that serial again and again and find out how amazing she can be.

Character in a serial is not made by actors those are made by writers or PH. I am not that kind of fan who wants to see favorite hero or heroin as lead or hero or heroins only. I like them even if they are acting in a negative character or cameo . So when I saw the promo I disliked the concept. But as DD is working here I thought may be there will be something else. Time to time I thought may be she is the negative character here.

But Alas...the story was and still is simply awful and painful. Never understood Nandini was bad or not. She was according to the story a dumb girl...although that was also not clear. Kabhi kabhi shaitan bhi laagi but wovi clear negi hui. Angel toh impossible. Because angels are not dumb. I am still confused why this PH hired such an expensive heroine for such a silly role. Sp it doesn't look like DD read about her character.

There was a Bengali novel written by Bankim Chandra Chatyapaddhya. ...Most probably the name was "VishVrikshya". Kundanandini(which is similar to Nandini) was a young widow who fell in love/EMA with her protector ( Jeejoo tha shayad). I guess this Nandini character is inspired by that Kundanandini. If ppl read that story they might get touched by Kundanandini's character.

But there is a huge difference between Vishvrikshya's Kundanandini . Ppl may shed tears and feel sympathy for Kunda ... But it's 2018 and that was 19th century. At that time woman's condition was horrible. So no comparison to that Kunda and this Nandini. You may see the similarity of Kunal+Nandini=Kundanandini.

As for DD. She is a great actress. But next time she needs to choose a character where she can act or show her acting ability. As I know she is an amazing actress. I know she is very pretty and I too love to see her in great attires ...but not like this serial. Naah character clear tha naa acting ke liye koi space. If she wants to act...where will she show her talent????The only person who got chance to act here is Mauli/Aditi ...rest including Shakti and all were just side dishes. Can't utter a single good comment for PH. ...as simply not understanding..."W hat the hell they are trying to say????"


They should try to make some suspense serials instead of family drama. Or just keep the concept clear.

I read vishbrikkha and krishnakanter will..yes i find nandini similar somehow with kundanandini..when kunda died it was so painful..nagendra had very gud relation with suryamukhi before kunda enter their life..
