Strange . If leap was supposed to be part of story as per PH , why did the actress sign the show ? The plan was to quit midway it seems .

And playing other woman is fine . But not playing mother ? Does not make sense to me.

She couldn't bear the backlashes and she is aware Nandini is being hated the most so obviously isse phele damage aur hojaye she call for a quit. But anyways good decision.

So finally there is a statement.. atleast that ends the debate on whether she was fired or she quit.. ! If the contract never required Drashti to play a mother then she was justified in quitting ! Why the producers thought she will be okay portraying a mother when this was exactly the reason why she left their previous show is beyond me. Despite that , the decision to quit and move on seems to be an amicable one. There seems to be no hard feelings on the part of the producers so others here have no reason to diss her. Drashti obviously has reservations playing mother and if she specifies that in the beginning before signing on , its on the makers to honour their end of the commitment. Pehle 5 saal ka bacha and before you know it, there is another leap and then young pretty actresses are playing mommy to 20 yo. Good decision.

I agree with you this first they narrate one story to actors and they themselves failed to do justice to script and character.Producers will never say there was fault in their execution.In ETR2 too they showed door to siddant karnick when they failed to write proper character for him and DD was asked to play the role of grown up gal of 20 yrs.DD had to quit the show with in yr of show starting.Now even in Silsila they failed to write nandini character and in just period of 5 months they are taking leap of 6 yrs if drashti would hv agreed to play mom then even if that track would not hv worked i m sure they would hv taken other leap with showing children grown up.So you r tight in no time young actresses end up playing moms of 20 yr pld grown ups.But i m happy that Drashti and PH parted in amicable way there is no use of playing blame games.

@ Bold : Its because we are watching her shows, she is earning money. So we have every right to judge her.

Have you seen people judge Narendra Modi? Or Manmohan Singh? Or Rahul Gandhi etc? Just because we have voted for them and elected them , we critisize them.

So if we can judge NaMo or RaGa or MMS, DD is nothing compared to them.

She doesnt mind playing a shameless woman onscreen but gets a cold feet playing a mother.Playing a mistress is honourable and playing a mother makes her old.Claps claps
