Playing a negative role itself a risk, there are chances no one will offer you positive after that, but it's always better to take risk than playing rotlu type role forever... Coming out of comfort zone is a big challange.

Having said that, you cannot put gun on someone and ask to play a vamp and be versatile.. it should be personal choice. I remember a show on colors 'swaragini' where Tejaswi Prakash was promised a positive character, but suddenly her character turned into a vamp, she was not happy, intially she played it well, but later it was visible on her face that she was not happy and episodes used to look dull. Such things would ruin everything where actors are not getting job satisfaction.

Hina and Drashti are two different individuals, their priorities and choices are different. Hina is comfortable and Drashti is not, or may be she's waiting for right script to play a negative character.

No...Nandini was never a grey character...Nandini was portrayed as a positive character who is continuously being white washed to make the audience accept this ridiculous divine love

DD went into this either thinking her character may go grey or the audience will accept the white washing...neither happened and instead she got major backlash.

JWs character in Behyadh was a true grey character with hints of villian in it...major fan following happened for Maya because we knew she was going to be grey from the get-go

You should know the difference bw grey and black .
Nandini character was supposed to be grey because grey characters have two sides.People love their one side which is positive and hate them for their other evil side.Grey is more complex character. It's other thing nandini was not properly written character the backlah is for that.In hasratein savi character was also grey but ppl connected to her character.DD went with character thinking it will be grey and writers will do justice to it
Maya who did murders and accused ppl raping her was not grey it was pure black character. It was grey in beginning but later it got negetive and fully black.Maya was well written in begininng but later it also got boring.Jenny did justice to character and writers too did good work .It's team work which bought maya online fans.No one actor can make character work until its not written good.

I agree that they should turn her negative. DD is portraying a role of a mistress which is not a good person. Mistresses are home breakers and selfish human beings. Nandini took something that does not belong to her. She broke a home and a marriage for her selfish so called love along with her pig lover Kunal. So showing Nandini crying isn't something relatable. It just makes the character look stupid.

I think if given good material DD can portray a good villain.
