this can be a possibility.show ki designer is Shivani who is known for her weird costumes.i have been watching ib since beginning & can for sure shot say this desiner never would give sane wardrobe.even in silsila it's only one character whose wardrobe is so stylish & detailed to T in terms of fashion.everyone else to some extent r dressed which I would call shivani's style except for dd.

I heard shivani is Drashti's designer on the show. DD tweeted or something.

I worked in a hospital where the female doctors are rich but they dressed really poor. The housewives who didn't work had expensive car and expensive clothes dressing the most.

do believe Nandini's costumes are more DD and less Nandini, it doesn't make sense that someone like Nandini, who didn't get out of an abusive marriage for 7 years because she didn't have any where to go or enough money to support herself will wear all these designer Saree, jewelry, shoes etc.and to be honest Nandini is not more than her Sarees and kheer, Kunal has never remarked about her qualities whenever he's praising her, she has none, he has commented on her beauty and her kheer several times.

Why do I feel designer Sarees are more DD? (There is absolutely no right way to explain this, so please try to understand before reaching to a conclusion)

Take MMS sequence for an example, it wasn't even an MMS so to speak, it was just a picture of Nandini in a rather nice dress, but Nandini looked at it and she was ashamed, she was scared. You know the message was that Nandini is from a conservative family where women do not wear skin revealing dresses but this does not go with the Sarees she wears, she is absolutely beautiful and she can wear whatever she wants but that's not how conservative women dress, I am not saying it's wrong or anything, I don't think the dress was such a big deal as Nandini made it or say writer presented to show that Nandini is a traditional conservative woman and that's contradicting the types of Sarees she wears.

In first few episodes it was shown Rajdeep forced her to dress provocatively in front of his friends, it would have been a plus point in Nandini's character if she had tried breaking away from Sarees given by Rajdeep, but they didn't show it and they can't...
