Disclaimer- everyone knows what not to do. Let's talk about relations now.
Now, since we have reached the point past recovery and the plot has officially started. But this one question haunts me badly.
In any affair, there are two people involved, in most of the cases, we hear men being infidel but then there is another women involved in it too. I make no excuse for men who force another women and don't take their no. Well, that's sexual abude for me.
Now, talking about consensual EMAs, why is it that the woman involved in it doesn't think about the wife, another woman. There are certain emotions, everyone feels same especially infidelity.
There was a recent revealation about Mr. Trump where one of his mistress confessed that she ended things with him because as a woman she felt terribly guilty of doing it to another woman who just had a baby and she publicly apologized to Mrs. Trump of her part.
And there are numerous examples. How is it they don't give it a thought that what this action would do to someone else who is also a wheel in this relationship. How is it, that Nandini isn't thinking about doing it to Mauli. I am pretty sure women feel the same when they are cheated upon, the pain is same, some may find easy to recover from it, some might not and that's the whole Karma theory.
Is friendship that weaker relation to crumble down to pieces with invasion of love, as if it never existed and has no yield or outcome?
Parents gave birth, siblings share blood, partners and spouses will be for life and lead to having children, children are our own blood. Where does friendship stand in all this as it's presence or absence technically makes no difference in your life. There is no signoficant impact if one looses his/her best friend but you are an orphan, widow, childless in other relations.
Why for Nandini, her years old friendship is not stronger than the few days old love and minutes old confession.For years, she yearned for Mauli's friendship and thought of reconciling with her. Then how has it taken a back seat even when she knows that her friend fought the world for her. And this one fact doesn't change ever. Mauli came in her life when she was at her worst as a ray of hope.
I have seen so many beautiful friendships destroyed and ruined because love invaded between their relation. Sometimes, there is jealousy but here is infifelity and cheating in this particular case.
Friendship is a very under-rated relationship because this relation is not blood related, it has no official declaration, no official document to be signed to make it official. It is just a relation where two people choose to trust each other with their best and their worst and other person does the same and expect the same things from then for as long as they can. Every person needs a friend underlying. That's why everyone says to make a relation better, just befriend them, teenagers are advised to befriend their parents, siblings; spouses to befriend each other and understand them better. So, friendship defintely isn't a casual relationship anyone takes for granted but still people do it. For me, it's a very sacred one and there are rules to it just like every other relationship has. Sometimes breaking those rules can be afforded but sometimes they can be absolutely catastrophic. I am a huge Friends fan, and that show has covered all aspects of relationships, friendships and what not.
Mauli-Nandini friendship wasn't casual school-college friendship, it was aparently very deep. When friendship stretches for long enough, they become your family, a member of your family and life. Why Nandini didn't give a second thought to have chosen friendship over love. Even earlier she did that but then she was immature and thought Mauli was just jealous of her but now she is not. Why not give it a second thought as a woman and as a friend who is coming between a couple by saying yes to man's advances. Had Nandini said No, Kunal wouldn't have dared to force her. Even if he had tried, Nandini could go to Mauli With the truth and head held high.
I have seen women who refuse to become third wheel when approached by married man, primarily for being a woman but Nandini here isn't just a woman, she herself has been a victim of it, and then she is the best friend, which brings up the duty to be by your best-friend always, to be loyal to him/her, no matter what happens.
This show is right in showing how selfish desires can lead to mockery of every relationship one holds dear. Kunal in mocking his marriage, Nandini in mocking friendship.
