The guilt has made her nervous to the point where she can't even talk without stammering.. she keeps her eyes down cast, she's running but there's no destination... she trying to control her mind because the heart in out of reach..
He has steadied his thumping heart & fought with his mind to fight the guilt and control his feelings & he understands her guilt and wants to ease her pain but can't find the perfect wording which will comfort not only her but also his guilt...
Together they are a nervous wreck... but yet they are the only ones that can ease the forbidden thought that they have built for each other to calm the nerves and walk away and never look back and let the guilt fade away with the healing time...
"It's the love you want but can never have" which in it's own illogical way is more painful then the guilt..
