Looking back on the SwaSan ATs, now that we are on the verge of clocking a double century, is a moment filled with pride as well nostalgia. It really does feel veryemotional to recall those early days, when the nascent SwaSan fandom was taking shape, and more and more fans flocked eagerly to the AT, to feverishly discuss each plot angle, expression, hint, dialogue and future serial track possibility. 😊

While I had started watching SwaRagini right from the first episode, to be frank none of the earlier possible on screen pairings had particularly set fire to my imagination. 😉 It was the spellbinding, electrifying magic spun by SwaSan that made me fall hook, line and sinker for the show. The chemistry between them was so intense and palpable, it was almost as if sparks were igniting on the TV screen!!

I joined the SwaSan AT #4 in August 2015, shortly after writing my first SwaSan fic. I was so immensely touched by the very warm welcome by wonderful people like Saraa, Kavya, Tuhi, Azira, Sonal, Preet, Asha, Deep, Mishu and Leela. I was thrilled at the free wheeling discussion on our beloved pair, which used to happen on the ATs. I really miss the old gang, who used to dissect each and every scene. At that stage, we were of course 100% certain that SwaSan would be the endgame, but there certainly was still a degree of uncertainty (or should I say hope? 😉 😈) felt by another fandom of analternate on screen pairing. That added a certain spicy competitive fire and zeal in a way, with fans eagerly lapping up signs and symbolism shown in the serial; analyzing and expounding at length, on how a particular scene, or a particular dialogue made it clear that SwaSan was in fact the endgame. 😊

I remember the immense thrill we felt each and every time anything SwaSan related unfolded on screen or SBS/SBB. Leela used to do a sterling job of providing links to all the SwaSan related fics and discussion topics which had been posted in the main forum. She would ask all of us on the AT to read and comment on every post, so that SwaSan related topics would be on the first couple of pages on the forum. 😆 This really spread the word around and gave a further push, to the immense appeal SwaSan already had amongst people watching the show.

I also very fondly recall the wide variety of discussions which used to happen. Everything from the color of Sunny's blazers and T shirts 😳, the way he used to gaze so affectionately and admiringly at Swara ☺️, and the growing bond of friendship and trust between them. I remember Leela would also make post after post, wondering why the CVs were not giving Swara a more 'mass acceptable' dressing----making her dress more in line with the expectations of Swara's sasuraal, that is, the way the Maheshwari House ladies dressed. 😆 She was certain that if Swara were to be attired in saris and lehngas (though not necessarily as dressy/ heavy as the ones the other ladies wore), she would create a much more favorable impression on the TRP auntie group. 😉

Another set of exciting discussions which used to happen then was on the khayali pulaos. 😆 Basically, we would write various possible scenes/ tracks----either speculating on scenes we would love to see, or debating how scenes which had already unfolded, could have been shown in a different light, tweaked in a slightly different way. Afreen (@afreenaamna), started a separate khayali pulao thread for this also; wherein some of us contributed our pulaos. 😆 Very tasty, spicy, sweet, fragrant, delectable and piquant pulaos. 😉

Looking back, I feel that each and every AT served as a kind of 'community' for us SwaSan fans. It was a place we could destress, chat with pals, talk about anything SwaSan related under the sun. It really fired our enthusiasm and love for this magical couple, and made every precious moment that much more intangibly priceless.

The first 7 months or so of the SwaSan journey were filled with so many memorable moments, and each of them were gleefully discussed and analyzed threadbare on the respective ATs of the time. I very fondly remember the buzz surrounding all the sweet 'handkerchief' moments between SwaSan initially, where it was clear that Sunny just could not bear to see Swara feeling hurt and distressed. His resolve to always be there for her, to always comfort and provide succor to her, was such a beautiful aspect of their steadily deepening friendship. At the time, a certain section of a rival fandom started taunting Sanskaar as 'hanky man', and I remember all of us on the AT were so thrilled with the nickname. 😆 It really stood for the kind of man Sanskaar was---always steady and resolute, determined to staunch every tear in Swara's eyes, even before she could shed them!

There are frankly so many ethereally beautiful memories associated with SwaSan, that it is very difficult for me to narrow it down to a select few. But of all the ones which really set the ATs alight, the most thrilling ones must surely have been:

1) The SwaSan sindhoor marriage and shortly afterwards, Sanskaar's disarmingly direct, heartfelt and poignant love confession. This was such an electrically charged, compelling moment, which elevated an already sublime pairing to legendary status. I remember the immense buzz and debate which went on then, wondering how Swara would react to this, whether Sanskaar would remember his love confession later, how it would impact their friendship and so on. There was a SBB/SBS segment with the tagline 'Swara ke maang mein Sanskaari sindhoor' ☺️ before those unforgettable episodes aired; and it just sent all of us in the AT into an absolute tizzy. 😉 Those OLVs and photos fired us up with so much enthusiasm, it was literally like having a week long caffeine high. 😆

2) The heroic and determined way Swara proved Sanskaar innocent of the false molestation allegations against him, but then snapped their friendship (temporarily), because she felt he had, in a sense, betrayed their friendship by falling in love with her. This was a very powerful scene, and in a way, broke many of our hearts since we feared the possibility of a MU/ estrangement between SwaSan. But we need not have feared. 😉 😆 They certainly had a few tiffs at the time, Swara being angry with Sanskaar; and Sanskaar very calmly telling her that while he would never compel her to reciprocate his feelings, he would not tolerate her belittling his genuine and deep emotions for her. But after a brief time of tension, the undeniable bond between them solidified again. They went back to being the closest of friends, with immense trust and affection between them----which, despite the buffeting storms it subsequently endured, gradually deepened to a mutually intense, passionate and tender love. A portrayal which sent all of us SwaSan fans into rapturous smiles. 😳 😉

3) The lovely Karva chauth moments and the Dhanteras/ Diwali moments between SwaSan---Each one immeasurable precious and meaningful; filled with symbolism and metaphor. I remember the way we would all discuss these scenes on the AT, filled with a bittersweet melancholy at the poetic, surreal beauty of the SwaSan bond. Sanskaar's unconditional, selfless love for Swara; and Swara's own growing feelings for him (though she had not yet come to realize them) were the stuff that set our hearts and minds singing. 😳 ☺️ The gentle banter between them, their friendship gradually and steadily deepening to an indirect acknowledgement of their roles as 'pati' and 'patni'; Sanskaar's tender, slightly brazen flirtatiousness and Swara's blushing, fluttering response----all these were immensely precious, and being able to discuss these on the AT, added to the excitement.

4) The utterly romantic SwaSan first date. 😳 ☺️ I think everyone on the AT was more or less swooning then, at the sheer beauty of the scene. SwaSan were the perfect Prince and Princess, the characters dreams and legends are made of, and them dancing to Gerua was just the icing on the cake.

I could go on and on, and yet not capture the sheer magic of this pair, and the fun and joy we SwaSan fans derived from the AT. And though I was more active in the initial months, and gradually became less active on the AT as months passed----my offline commitments meant that my forum time was mostly spent on writing my SwaSan fics, and in reading the lovely fics my pals posted---I still dropped in to the AT occasionally, whenever I could. It always enveloped me in a feeling of belonging, of warmth, of community. Of a group of like minded people, who shared the same unifying interest and passion that I did---of lauding and soaking in the magic, of this absolutely outstanding on screen pair.

And now that we are on the threshold of the SwaSan AT#200, I raise a toast for which I request all my fellow AT members to join me. Three cheers to The Most Compelling, Magical, Spellbinding On screen couple I have ever known. 👏👏👏 Sanskaar's Swara and Swara's Sanskaar, will always remain an evergreen memory in the hearts and minds of all of us SwaSan AT members and fans----and hopefully, we shall all continue to live their magic through fics on this forum.

Ahoy there! And finally, we've arrived to the next level of our voyage, and may our ship' sail forever and ever! Many came together on this sail, some left some stayed till the end. I hope those who left join these celebrations with all of us, the SwaSan family. Let's celebrate the double century; the 200 ATs of the most ethereal, magical and beautiful couple ever...our SwaSan.

This journey has been like a wonderful novel, a new page and a new chapter each day. We had those happy times, those sad tearful times too and we've been together like a family always. A big hug to us, lovely souls!

I remember I used to be a silent member of the forum and used to just check for spoilers and updates. Then came the scene of Sanskaar's drunk confession to Swara. The most beautiful and soulful lines, any person can say to his beloved! I was so touched by that heart-warming scene, and so were all fellow SwaSanians here, that I finally broke my silence and joined the forum and this SwaSan land.

Since then it's a roller coaster ride all the way. We've celebrated SwaSan hugs, SwaSan separation and the beautiful SwaSan dates as well. I remember all those khayali pulaos that we used to make and discuss on the AT. Especially me, Preet and Soumi! And all the time our pulaos used to end on SwaSan heavy romance...and you know the rest' line.

Then I remember the GM talks as well. Here I must give a mention to Soumi, Mishty and Helee. These three tharki girls used to set the AT on fire when there wasn't much for SwaSan onscreen. And all of us used to join them and the AT pages would be full of the ROFL emoji and the BLUSH emoji!!

I remember Alisha's countdown. Before every episode she would start her countdown from one hour back, and when it used to be 9:20 she would count each and every minute that it strikes 9:30 and we'll get to see our SwaSan. Then coming to Live Updates! We used to live updates every Mon-Fri and then discuss the entire episode, especially the SwaSan parts. And that discussion used to be such fun!! Missing those days so much..!! Used to love your LUs guys, Raj, Swatz and Nithya. We even used to have quizzes and polls in the AT to run the AT and soon, many members would come and we would play and have fun.

The time of SwaSan CM- The entire AT was ablaze, the SwaSanians had gone mad by the beauty and hotness quotient of our magical couple and the romantic intensity which only they had the power to display onscreen, and pull the strings of our hearts. The Saiyyaan sequence both on Sanskaar's gift and the union of these two love-birds, these two lovelorn souls was truly a blessing for SwaSan fans.

And finally came the most beautiful era of the latter half of this journey, when the news came that Swara is going to have Memory Loss. The SwaSan fandom had legit gone mad and none could wait for the track to come. It was like finally a glass of water to the parched throat of a man in the form of a SwaSan track. We used to send our horses of imagination on long long ride, which used to be such fun and bliss. We had had imagined legit EVERYTHING! How SwaSan would meet, all those hits and misses, how SwaSan would be in pain without each other, how Sanskaar and Swara will fall in love again!! Those were the days guys, weren't they?

All the beautiful song sequences that we got, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Tere Liye, Judaai! Sanskaar's pain was so profound, that none of ours tears would stop and all of us would cry together on the AT. Then came the promo of Swara calling Sanskaar a murderer, the fuel to the already ignited fire. And the discussions we had, those excessive repetition of DREAMY emoji. I'm never going to forget how much we wanted drunk Sanskaar venting his frustration on an amnesiac Swara, how we wanted a passionate rain sequence and how much we discussed on it. Do you guys remember the endless wishlist of ours when it came to song sequences? And then the news of Sanskaar becoming a Bhojpuri rockstar for his lady love, when all married and maiden ladies went heads over heels in love with Kissanwa and KisSwa, not to forget the diplomatic gaalis we used to give Sahil, to avoid AT warnings. The beauty of the SwaSan renunion had bowled us all over when all of ours wish was fulfilled. We had got Soch Naa Sake on SwaSan, something which all wanted and those beautiful hugs, the kisses, the SS locket..everything!

Then we had discussed the VaHe moments and interviews too. The way we used to laugh with them and feel so glad seeing their adorable camaraderie off-screen, would always remain a cherished memory not only for me, but for all of us. The TellyMasala- Acting Challenge was one of the best segments we'd had and all of us had discussed all of it! Then Varun's sarcastic fun comments during interviews and Helly's laughter at it, would make all of us laugh with glee. The gift segment, the #150 AT celebration interview and Helly's message on the 150th AT...none of us is ever gonna forget this!

When most of us had lost hope, we got this beautiful Tashan track of SwaSan, the love-hate story with a dreamy angst and intensity. All of us had swooned over the passionate romance and angst dripping from each and every SwaSan scene, when each day brought them closer yet had them far apart. And amongst all this, we got the heartbreaking news of the show going off-air. All of us were numb, it had felt impossible to let go of SwaSan, to not see them again, to not drool over them again, to not love them again. We all had cried together on the AT, virtually hugged and consoled each other, just like a family.

SwaSan have been the most beautiful and evergreen couple, and we shall love them and drool over them forever, not on TV screens then over here in India forums and other sites. They brought all of us together, and we came to know so many new people. We learnt many things too, positives and negatives both. Let's pray for more winds in our sails and sit back and celebrate the 200th SwaSan/VaHe Appreciation Thread!

1. How you fell for SwaSan?

It was attraction first. I got attracted to SwaSan when I saw glimpse of Hospital SwaSan lift scene. But I fell in Love with them I guess during Karwachuhath sequence. It started with Liking then in deeply and madly in love with SwaSan ❤️

2. when you joined the AT?

Well I was a stalker at first 🤣 I officially joined during or before Agar Tum Saat Ho Track. Not remember exactly.

3. Your experience/memories with the AT?

Well I made few good friends. I enjoyed reading all Hot Khayali Pulaos of SwaSan Fans ❤️ My Journey in The AT was most probably from middle and I was really not that active. But Must say The AT came along a Long Journey Just Like SwaSan Love Story. ⭐️

---------------------------------------------

1. How you fell for SwaSan?

I became an absolutely devoted SwaSan fan, fell completely in love with them; after that memorable scene when Sanskaar protected Swara from Mohini's murderous attack. Till then, there had been undercurrents between them---Swara viewed Sanskaar with suspicion, rightly felt that Sanskaar was only pretending to be insane. And Sanskaar tried to think of Swara merely as collateral damage, in his almost dementedly furious plan for vengeance against his family. But he could not hold on to that view; Swara's empathy, innocent exuberance and sheer goodness, thawed his heart, crumbled the barriers he had erected around himself.

This was such a profound moment, Sanskaar rushing to Swara's aid; even though it meant blowing his cover and implicating himself. His concern and growing affection for Swara won over his hatred and bitterness; and Swara in turn, generously forgave him for his earlier devious plotting. Like an angel of light and goodness, she counseled him to think things through, to give his Bade Papa and Lucky the benefit of doubt. This was the start of SwaSan's close friendship, which later blossomed into an intense, deep and pure love.

2. when you joined the AT?

I think it was after I wrote my first SwaSan fic "It was Written in the Stars", in August 2015. I was just so immensely touched and humbled, by the warm welcome and words of appreciation from several AT members. I remember that Sonal, Preet, Kavya, Azira and Sara had commented on my thread, asking me to join the AT. I loved the fact that there was a thread were all SwaSan fans could get together, to share their admiration and affection for this magical, spellbinding couple.

3. Your experience/memories with the AT?

There has always been such a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the AT. I am not active now on the AT as I used to be; a lot of the old gang is not there anymore. But I do drop in every now and then, and always have a smile when I see the vibrant and robust discussion going back and forth. It feels very nice, to see so much love being showered on my favorite on screen couple of all time. And Kudos to you (Debo) and Leki; for being so diligent in moderating the AT. It really makes me, as a SwaSan fan, feel immensely proud that we are within touching distance now of the 200th AT. That's 30,000 pages worth of our deepest, hearfelt adoration for this compelling pair!

Cheers,
----Viji

-----------------------------------------------

1. They way SwaSan's character has been written and portrayed .. I had to fall for them... so the credit goes to writers and VaHe.

2. Well I joined and have been a part of AT from somewhere before forced marriage phase.

3. Well I have had some full to crazy moments here with our old AT gang... there was time when we used to dissect each and every moment and scene... cooking khayali pulaos and making some good friends out here... I miss our old AT gang and our stupid talks.

Love,
Manasie😳

------------------------------------------------

1. It now seems like I am being asked how I fell for the love of my life when someone wonders how I fell for SwaSan 😆. Seriously though, I used to only vaguely be aware of the show and took an interest when Sanskaar was introduced as I really like VK and was fascinated seeing him play the "mad" brother. During the days when Swara and Laksh story was shown, it just didn't do anything for me but then I saw the episode (almost by chance) of Sanskaar saving Swara from Mohini and I was lost. I just KNEW when I saw that scene where she confronted him and he lashed out about his pain and she portrayed that beautiful empathy that these two could be magic if paired but I wasn't 100% sure the makers would do this. I then began to watch just to see what would happen and when the hospital lift scene happened, my heard raced and I felt this euphoria wash over me and had this bone deep gut feel that no matter what, surely this ship will sail. I've never looked back since:).

2. Ohh, I can't remember the exact date- it was around the time of fake marriage track I think. I originally wrote my first OS (titled Redemption)- I was late to the party; various others had already been writing and I read their work with admiration. When I wrote the OS everyone made me feel so welcome, the next step was to join the AT.

3. To me, the AT had been for a long time, almost my "second home" on the Forum. My memories are of happy days and very late nights spent with some amazing people (many who are still friends) discussing every minute aspect of each SwaSan scene and even the general drama on the show and dissecting each angle with a dedication that if I re-did my degree I would have even better performance 😆. We would obsess over each dialogue, expression, hint, red herring and wax lyrical over SwaSan and cook up scenes we wanted and good naturally argue, debate, and basically well just live and relive each SwaSan moment to the full. It was a really thriving environment with lots of open healthy discussion and fun. I miss those days.

Love,
Shru xoxo

---------------------------------------------

1. It was definitely from the scene where Sanskaar lifts Swara from the hospital.
I was the other couple shipper before.
But thanks to Dida😉 , she made me realize how wonderful SwaSan is, by making them getting fake married 😆.
I loved their unity to expose Ragini and hence was drawn closer to them.

2.I think it was sometime after Swara proving Sanskaar innocent and saving him from fake molestation accuse. Yeah, after that only I joined the AT 😉.

3. Actually, I couldn't be very much active compared to other members.
But one of the best memories was the one where we made crazy stories of MahaSangams 🤣.
SwaSan going back in past to meet Ashoka. Thapki and Simar following them. That was soo crazy 🤣.

200 ATs is going to be completed.
This is really a big Achievement.
Love SwaSan <3

--------------------------------------------------

1. How you fell for SwaSan?

Tough one to answer. As i even don't know the answer to that one. I cant pinpoint a particular scene but i think the track was after Swara exposed Ragini and left MM. That when i really started to look forward to see what happens next between SwaSan. The reason i fell for them will always be the trust factor between them.

2. when you joined the AT?

I started watching this show during Sindhoor marriage. So around that time i joined AT i guess. Not exactly sure. I become active a little later.

3. Your experience/memories with the AT?

The Friendship that were formed in AT would be the most lovely aspect of it. So many different people yet we all become such good friends. And discussing about SwaSan with them has been the most amazing experience. I would say i used to discuss till early morning and wouldn't even feel bad at the lack of sleep. I really cherish those memories formed in the AT.

Mahakali Anth Hi Aarambh Hai (English: The end is the beginning)., (More literally: The Great Kali - The end only marks the beginning) is a mythological television show, that airs on Colors at 7 pm every weekend.

It is based on the story of Adi Shakti's forms such as Mahakali, Parvati and many others.

Pooja Sharma aka Draupadi of Mahabharat fame has been roped to play the titular role. It also has Saurabh Raj Jain playing the role of Lord Shiva who is popularly known for playing Krishna in Mahabharat.

The show is created by Siddharth Kumar Tewary of Swastik Productions. He has created several successful shows like Mahabharat, Suryaputra Karn, Shani etc.

The show is the first show ever to be made entirely on Kali showcasing her journey from Parvati to becoming the fierce warrior. The show also deals with the theme of women empowerment and gives out a message to all the women that they need to find their inner strength and must not depend on men, irrespective of their relationship and should therefore be able to fight for themselves and to tackle their own problems without their need of a man. This show features Kali.

Commenting on essaying the dual roles of Goddess Parvati and Maa Kaali, actor Pooja Sharma said, "It's difficult enough to play one mythological character and bring alive her charm and aura; I am challenged with two such characters Parvati and Kaali Maa. Their contrasting personalities make the entire experience very enriching and satisfying for me, as an actor. While Parvati is calm and composed, Kaali is untamable...a destroyer of evil. I am really looking forward to my role and hope it proves to be a glorious one in my resume.

The promos were well received and gained positive response.

The very first promo featured introduced Kali, starting with her foot in a bloodbath, her reddening eyes, walking around, showing the outfit and finally her full face is revealed with her tongue sticking out of her mouth. She's then shown standing on a mountain peak with 8 arms holding various weapons. The face-revealing part was used for the opening theme.

The second promo was the comparison between the demure, soft and motherly Parvati and her angry, warrior counterpart, Mahakali. The promo starts with Parvati picking a magical flower and putting it in her tresses compared to the wild dense hair of Mahakali. Parvati is adorned with gold ornaments of culture while Mahakali is adorned with a garland of skulls, offending all social standards. Parvati's beautiful eyes become Mahakali's blood-pigmented eyes. Finally she is shown amidst a blood covered battlefield surrounded by the demons she's killed, in her traditional multi armed form.

The third promo showed a war scene going on between the demi-gods and the asuras while a worried Parvati is watching above on a cliff. Filled with rage Parvati transforms into a dark-skinned Mahakali and attacks the asuras.

The fourth promo, were a great surprise for the fans of Saurabh Raj Jain, since it featured him as Shiva. An enraged Mahakali is doing the tandav dance and she calms down once Shiva is under her feet. With one feet on the chest on her husband and her tongue sticking out of her mouth, the signature posture of Kali-Shiva is created.

Sati is the goddess of marital felicity and longevity in Hinduism. In Hindu legend, both Sati and Parvati, successively play the role of bringing Shiva away from ascetic isolation into creative participation with the world. Sati is known as Adishakti.

Sati was born to Daksh and Prasuti. As the daughter of King Daksha, Sati is also known as Dakshayani. It was natural that Sati, even as a child, adored the tales and legends associated with Shiva told by sage Narada and grew up an ardent devotee. As she grew to womanhood, the idea of marrying anyone else, as intended by her father, became unfair to her.To win the regard of the ascetic Shiva, the daughter of king Daksha forsook the luxuries of her.Her prayers finally bore fruit when, after testing her resolve, Shiva finally acceded to her wishes and consented to make her his bride.Daksha, depicted in legend as an arrogant king, did not get on with his renunciative son-in-law and basically cut his daughter away from her natal family. Daksha organized a yagna ritual and invited all the Gods, Goddesses and princes. But he did not invite Shiva or Sati because he was unhappy that his daughter had married Shiva. Sati learnt about the yagna and asked Shiva to go with her. When Shiva refused, Sati insisted upon going and was escorted by Shiva's troops to her father's kingdom. Upon reaching, Daksha got angry on seeing her and yelled at her telling her she was not welcome. It is said that when Daksha did not stop yelling, the angered Sati took the form of the goddess, Adi Parashakti.Adi Parashakti introduced herself as the Eternal Power to Daksha and cursed him to be killed by Shiva, inclusive of all the Gods, princes and Goddesses.

She gave her final salutations to her husband Lord Shiva, and the mother of this mortal body, and then she prayed, hoped, that she be reborn to a father, whom she could respect. So saying, Devi Sati immolated her mortal body through the invocation and provocation of her yogic powers.

Known for her Shakti, Uma Parvati is the hindu goddess of love, devotion, energy and power. Being born to Parbat (lord of mountains) she was named as Parvati, the mother goddess having different attributes and aspects. She is adressed with different names all over the Hindu society as representing her different forms and aspects. She is known as Gauri(fair skined) as well as Kali(dark skined).Wife of Shiva (the destroyer, protector and regenerator), she herself is known for being the epitome of energy and power. She not only is the mother of Kartikeya and Ganesha, but, of all creatures existing and is their protector, looking out for them as a mother for her children. She also is the embodiment of divine knowledge. Parvati is known as one of most gentle and nurturing goddess but, can destroy anything in her way if needed to.

Parvati from her early days was fascinated by the tales of Shiv and worshipped him. She wished to have him as her husband and was ready to fight all the obstacles of the way. It is said that Sati herself was Parvati and had taken a rebirth. Parvati meditated for Shiv and passed different tests set by time and fate. After going facing various struggles, Parvati finally was able to win her lord and they both got married. She mothered Kartikeya( the warrior god) and Ganesha(the first worshipped).

Sarvamagalamgaly iv sarvrthasdhik . aray tryambak gauri nryai nam'stu t.
O jayant mangala kl bhadrakl kaplin . durg ksam iv dhtr svh svadh nam'stut.

Kali means black or dark coloured. It also shares the meaning of "time" as "changing aspects of nature that brings life and death." It is the feminine form of Kal, epithet of Shiv and thus the consort of Shiv. Kali is often regarded as the Shakti of Shiv. The Kalika Purana describes Kali as possessing a soothing dark complexion, as perfectly beautiful, riding a lion, four-armed, holding a sword and blue lotuses, her hair unrestrained, body firm and youthful.

Her most well known appearance on the battlefield is in the sixth century Devi Mahatmyam. Chanda and Munda attacked the goddess Parvati. Parvati responded with such anger that her face turned dark and Kali appeared out of her forehead. Kali's appearance is black, gaunt with sunken eyes, and wearing a tiger skin and a garland of human heads. She immediately defeated the two demons as rage and power ran in her. Later in the same battle, the demon Raktabija came up to fight and was left undefeated because of his ability to reproduce himself from every drop of his blood that touched the ground. Countless Raktabija clones appeared on the battlefield. Kali eventually defeated him by sucking his blood before it can reach the ground, and eating the numerous clones. Kali represents "Durga's personified wrath, her embodied fury." It said that after drinking the demon's blood, she was yet blinded by fury and set out to destroy every single thing in her sight. At that, Shiva laid before her and when she stepped on him did she only realise herself. She bites her tongue in shock and thus is often seen in the same posture in many paintings and idols.

In spite of her seemingly terrible form, Kali Ma is often considered the kindest and most loving of all the Hindu goddesses, as she is regarded by her devotees as the Mother of the whole Universe. And because of her terrible form, she is also often seen as a great protector.

Mahakali : Mahakali, literally translated as Great Kali, is sometimes considered as a greater form of Kali, identified with the Ultimate reality of Brahman.

The Dark appearance of Kali represents the darkness from which everything was born.Kali is standing calm on Shiva ,her appearance represents the preservation of mother nature. Her free, long and black hair represents nature's freedom from civilisation. Under the third eye of kali, the signs of both sun, moon and fire are visible which represent the driving forces of nature. She is referred to as a great and loving primordial Mother Goddess in the Hindu tantric tradition.

According to Shaktism and Hindu mythology, Adi Para Shaktithe Goddess, Deviis the Supreme Being. The Devi Bhagavata Mahapurana states that Adi Parashakti is the original creator, observer and destroyer of the whole universe. Adi Parashakti means "The Eternally Limitless Power". That is, she is the Power beyond this universe. She is the active energy that both creates and dissolves the entire universe. Shiva Purana says Adi Parashakti incarnated in complete materialistic form as Param Prakriti from the left half of Lord Shiva. Linga Purana states Adi shakti's sagun swaroop i.e. Parvati assumed the form of Yoni and Shiva assumed the form of Linga and their union brings evolution of life. The Goddess Adi Para shakti is also considered to be the truly supreme spirit without form (Param Atman). She is the Great Goddess, and all other goddesses and even all the gods are her various forms, says the Devi Gita from Shakti Mahabhagawat Purana.
