Tumhari cheekhey Mere kann kann mey khul gayiii,
Gunehgaar ka naam bata dard sey mukti paakar tum chal bassi,
Gunehgaaro ko saza Samaj Ko seekh Ab leni hi hai,
Dahej Lena paap hai to dena gunaah sey kam nahi hai,
Dahej pratha key Khilaaf Awaaz uthata hun,
Pehley Pyaar ka Karz hai jo chukaata hun...👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏I hope people now rise their voices for this Horrible act and save our sisters .

Thank You Bhoomi for this another great painful but real life poem bec there is some where some one is baldly hurt by this dowry system and i hope this will stop soon.😊

Awaaz uthau Karz Chukau:- was very touching.. Same comments applied for this poem also.. When will the society realize this and the good things that the whole of feminine gender can do to them? And you know what the ppl who are behind this are WOMEN only... This hurts more....

All I want to say is..

Ladkiyaan bhoj nahin ek gurur hoti hai
Is sansaar ko janam dene wali janani hoti hai
Jo inhe izzat aur pyaar nahin de sakte
unhe swarg kya koi bhi jagah hasil nahin hota
Inhe pyaar se rakhnewale ki yeh saari khushiyaan ban jaaye

aapko pata hai kya? i wrote a poem on the topic "wishes poured"........and it got selected for our annual school magazine! yeh naam toh maine aaphi ki story se liya tha........but is poem mein story poori alag hai.........but u know what? i refused!!!!!!! yup u heard that right! i refused my teachers.......i told them that i dont wanna get my poem published......and that's becoz i write stories, poems and even songs.....i compose them.....but i never record them.....then i forget them.....u know why i refused my teacher? becoz i know that they somewhat r connected to me.......so i dont feel like sharing them......and they r not on the social topics too.......and hence i dont share them.......but i know through my parents that i write poems better than stories.....and yes my parents haven't read my some stories (the ones i have published) i have only shared with them my emotional stories.......small ones....but i still think that what my teacher must be feeling abt me.....first time in school history.....she herself asked a child to submit her poem for magazine (that lucky one being me) and i refused!

Dahej dena aur lena kanoon ki nazarsey bhi gunah hai,
Streedhan key naam par paise aintna Kitna sharmanak hai,
Aag mey jala shareer ka maasss samjha nahi aa raha tha,
Jalan sey ruuh kamp jaye itna dard tumhey ho raha tha..

pata hai kya? i somewhat was feeling that this topic was coming up after that first one........

this topic is very sensitive......i often wonder why do girls have to suffer so much? i mean isnt it enough that the parents are giving their precious possession to the groom? why do they ask for more? khud ke paas kamaane ki takaat nahi hai kya? why do they think that dahej se sab kuch hal ho jaayega? khud agar kuch nahi kar sakte ho toh phir shaadi kyun karte ho? i hate such people!

and they burned her! i have head of many cases like these......and i always hate such people.......jisko aap apne gha par beti banakar rakhne ka waada karke laaye the......usi ko bahu bhi nahi banaya.......i mean koi unhe bhi samajhaaye that unki beti ke saath koi aisa kare toh?

I cant belive in tamil nadu such things are prevailing and that on a large scale.. i thought in south tleast woman are respected and made to study like all other men ..complete their education..atleast there woman's education is felt and given.. but looks like many things are same..though few things in few parts chnage...

This is true in Kerala where there is cent percent literacy, as only education can eradicate such social attrocities. Moreover Kerala being a state following a matriarchal system has always respected and given importance to women. Tamilnadu has a small percentage of villages giving in to this crime but it is not as prevelent as it is in North India. Hope the whole of India will go the Kerala way.😕 tc ssh57

those who ask dowry is definetly punishable but those who give,,are equally responsible..

but in india dowry is something more like a ritual which has to happen n brides parents have no way but to give to see their dauter happy but in-laws always want more n just more that they torture their dter-in-law n like in ur poem will kill her....

i myself know many cases like this which i saw n read too...its so sick of these people..why they dont understand if the same things happens with their own daugter how will they face it...

i really hope someday this practise will end..and if this has to end,,i dont knw if authorities will ever react ever......so we should react to it n fight...

I don't know why people always show high difference between a girl & boy 😡 even they know now days there is no difference between them .So many couple aborted their child bec they come to know it is a girl 😡..⭐️Bhoomi I am proud of you and i am 100000000% sure your mom dad also proud of you bec you are really pointing out all these most important social issues form your poems and creating awareness.about all major issue and all bad things .
