What a nasty turn the Sabherwal house discussion took just because the call was from their house? It’s not a discussion but Sabh clan, mainly Shaurya vs Shaan. Shaurya how petty and mean was that to give an ultimatum? It was more like a child seeking attention. Agreed that Shaan’s neglect towards Shaurya made him hate his mother but How does a divorce change anything in Shaan Astha case? Divorcing doesn’t guarantee a person stop supporting or communication with his/ her ex. Bm’s allegation that Astha uses Sabherwal’s surname is baseless. There hasn’t been an incident where it was shown so. Atleast as an audience it doesn’t convince me. Yes her allegation definitely adds to Shaurya’s hatred. Everyone except Gayatri was hell bent to convince that it is in everyone’s best interest for Shaan to divorce Astha.
My heart bleeds with pain every time I see this episode. It looked as if all the hate that Ss spewed were like imprecations to Astha. And intercutting the scenes made it more impactful.
Whenever Shaan speaks he just stops himself from saying anything more than that Astha is his mother and he should respect and she cares for Shaurya. Still can’t comprehend why he doesn’t discuss as to what actually happened with Shaurya now that he is a grown up and might be in a position to understand better.
How mockingly mr Bhalla took Anokhi’s name as an able great daughter. Liked how Rama reverted back instead of keeping quiet.
When Astha was shot and fell on a mound of earth it was as if she was lying on a pyre and it got me scared for a moment thinking what if? All happy memories of family kept reeling in leaving the whole scene more depressing.
The moment of truth at last when Gayatri reveals the real culprits. Admire Gayatri that she neither trusts them blindly like BM nor she supports them in their wrong doings.

Yes Gayatri rocked in this episode. She is really sweet heart. Wish they had given her character more scope. I always wanted her to reveal some facts about Astha to Shaurya after goa episodes.
The most OTT and yet impactful episode of the series in my opinion was this one! No wonder the TRP aunties loved this track 🤣
The storm throughout the episode was an indication of how this night will change everything for the sbas, shakhi and shahastha. It was alaos the foreshadowing of the ominous events to follow (Also, very OTT ek types was the storm, but i'll take it)
The rage that was pent up in Shaurya since the day he saw his mother again and then saw his parents together in the library comes out in one go! The words were extremely harsh but true and shaan could not even defend himself. What he said about aastha was what he was fed but my question is why could shaan not tell shaurya that he never divorced aastha in 25 years because they love each other. Shaurya most probably would not understand, he is alien to the concept of how love actually works.
As opposed to how shaurya says that he is not 4 and does know wrong from right, he is still exactly 4. His hurt heart is evidently stuck there and hence i feel, his need to blackmail his father into making a choice is more revenge than attention. I say this because we know Shaurya is capable of this. His anger is justified but his ask for a divorce is NOT.Finally Shaan's patience gives in, he has no grounds to stand on but still and it almost escalated to a physical fight...all because he saw his parents talk a couple of night ago about ragging incident.
Aastha is a smart woman who sensed danger too soon. In one way she protected a son from shooting his mother but the entire scene was just so sad. This lady who always got only hate from her son and nothing from her husband remembered them when she was fighting for her life. Love is a strange emotion is it not. The music and the memories in B&W made the scene extremely impactful. This is the only episode where i loved the intercutting of the scenes.
Raja ran, he was shocked at the fact that he actually did it but i dont think there was any remorse.
All this escalation of issues for Gayatri to solve it logically and very quickly. She is such an underrated character.
Side note 1 : Loved the acting in this episode again. I love it when KV cries as Shaurya. The harsh emotions with tears dripping out without control. DAMN!
Side note 2: Though the saberwals pretend to care about a family, all i could see was them trying to create more rift between shaan and shaurya. I understanding hating aastha but why does tej not try and bridge this rift. Does he not love his "parivaar". (Devi and alok have agendas here and hence i understand them adding ghee to the aag but Tej?)
Did trps increase for this track? I wasn’t on india forums at that time neither was I keeping track of the trps

This episode is indeed very painful to watch as an issue of a phine call being made from SM turned into an ultimatum to Shaan to leave his wife. Incredible how small minded the Sabherwals are at heart. All this showoff of coming from wealthy and high society level is crap when we look at the way they treat women. Devi being the cheer leader in everything against Aastha. The way the serial ended with Devi being readily pardoned enrages me...
OK, so high drama brings TRP.

Yes, the storm was a sign of what will be coming in their lives. The fact that Anokhi could sense that something was wrong was so touching. Instead of Shaurya having that link with Aastha it is Anokhi.
Shaurya is taking out all his frustrations not just since the admission process but also for the fact that again he was proved wrong in the case of Anokhi. Is it possible that he may be wrong with respect to Aastha also? An element of doubt could have been raised and he wants to remove that by ensuring no connection at all with aastha by either cutting all ties with his father or having his father cut all ties. He is really innocent in thinking that doing this will change anything, Devi will never allow him to forget that his mother left him.
I could not stop crying, this is how a mother feels. On top of that the song was too emotional...
manage to watch the episode today.
This was a very high intensity drama. Let us start with Devi, who is questioning Shaan on why he has not divorced his wife. What business is it to her? Who is she to decide what type of marriage life Shaan should be having? It is incredible how an issue of a phone call was transformed into Shaan's and Aastha's marriage! All of this because Shaurya could not take the fact he was wrong about Anokhi. Now to Shaurya..
Agree he has been neglected as a child by both his mother and father, but as a young man, he has no right to dictate to his father about the latter's marriage life, life partner or any partner whatsoever. He wants his father to divorce Aastha because she is selfish, loves only herself. If I were Shaan I would tell Shaurya, who do you think she is living with all these years? Her parents do not count for you?
Ok, Aastha is not a saint, but why is Shaurya saying that she should not be meddling in their life. He is contradicting himself because Aastha has not put back her foot in SM. Shaurya is correctly saying she is not my mother, as indeed Aastha lost that right the day she left all her responsibility to Devi, but Shaan's persistence in saying aastha is his mother enrages Shaurya further and no need to say how Devi further pour in her venom by questioning Shaan on what Aastha has done for Shaurya.
Shaurya has reached a point where he prefer to be dead than to be called aastha's son. Is Devi enjoying this? Is this what a mother hopes for? Devi is devil incarnate in this serial.
The most impacting part was when aastha was falling and remembering those dearest to her: her son and husband. I felt very bad for her and that song by yesudas:
The lyrics were changed from
Sacha Koyi Sapna Deja Mujhko Koyi Apna Deja
to Achaa koyi Sapna hota Mera koyi apna hota
but the feeling of asking for a nice dream and someone of her own when she felt she would be sleeping for ever was heartbreaking...
