Kitty is a bit naive to be in the group and if not for Bebo’s covering up Ss would have easily crossed her seeing her nervous. Kitty is not as bad as others but not strong enough to stop others crossing the limit. It’s always the strong person’s opinion in a group that wins and it’s the same with Bebo. She has the upper hand among the two so Kitty’s opinion isn’t counted. The same situation is seen in Bhatia family, mr Bhatia though good hearted compared to others has no say in the house. His suggestions are very rarely/never taken into account.

Shaurya Sabherwal seriously decided that miss Bhalla shouldn’t affect him? On the contrary he is not happy and is irritated that she feels he isn’t competent enough. If it didn’t affect he shouldn’t have stood there and discussed further. Why did Ss ask if there were other students present when miss Bhalla spoke against him? Did kittys nervousness and bebo’s covering up ring a bell? And also he has an inkling of his sisters lying nature?

What a contrast of opinions and why shouldn’t they have? Shaan and Ss.. shaan’s compliment of Anokhi’s positive outlook is a direct influence of his trust in Anokhi as Astha's student( He has great respect for Astha) where as ss's comment about Anokhi being negative is a result of his bitter experience with his mother.

A great conversation betweenAstha and Rama! All points so true. Astha failed as a mother and wife and when Rsma says that she only thought as a moyher, wife and d-i-l Astha feels lost and her pain is visible. Though Rama said she is weak she stood for her daughter and proved she is strong in her own way. As Astha points out Only a strong person has enough courage and strength to bear what all Rama went through.

Anokhi though scared for her own self is equally worried about her sister as she is aware of her in laws attitude towards Babli. Anokhi izsuch a fighter who doesn't lose herself to any kind of situation easily. All through her life she had to fight for her rights and so the endurance And she is not scared to put the culprits in their right placeby getting them punished.

I don't reallyunderstand why people have this opinion of a girl from a small town trying to catch big fish ? (Mrs Bhatia). And similar dialogue from BM... Middle class brain starts working immediately. These things cannot be generalised but that's how people's thinking is.

What do you get when a bunch of overconfident entitled people think they know everything about a smart and intelligent man....bolo bolo?

Shaurya was rightfully angry because anokhi did fight tooth and nail to get here and then bad mouth the place? Anyone would go crazy! He tells his sisters to stay away thinking she is the bad influence. As a brother shaurya knew his sisters too well and often called them out on their BS. Here is judgement is tainted with bias.

Rama and Aastha, two women on the opposite side of the spectrum. One could never do anything for herself because she did everything for her husband's family and kids. Other unfortunately could not do anything for her son while she managed to carve out an identity for herself. But i loved the honesty in the conversation. Makes me feel, how much ever a woman tries they are set up to fail by the society on one ground or the other.

Devi has always been overconfident about her "haq" on shaurya and this has always been her downfall. In her ego she look down upon Gyatri who is actually giving her sound advise. Even Tej forwarms her of this pitfall. And one day, the house of cards comes down!

Babli's fear for Nikki and Nikki's concern for Babli is heart touching. Even in this situation all Bhatia's can think of is taunts or izzat or ladke ka chakkar. Honestly, Bhatia's serve as a reflection of the society. Dont people worry about these things first when a woman/girl is late. The concern for safety is not no 1 on the list.

Every moment Anokhi is in that classroom it's sad. You can see, its aclosed off room with not much circulation. The lights are cut off and its a storm outside. Leave aside everything, anyone would be scared here if its day 1 in college and they have already tried screaming their lungs out!

She still manages to use her wits and write that message. And the almost hit and miss of her message and Mr. Saberwaal! Ooff! (also Shaurya's BGM...dayyyumn!)

Thankfully Babli is constantly calling Anokhi and Shaurya finds her stuff in the trash bin. You can see it on his face, his professor barin is working, he is calculating and analyzing why and how?

Next is one of the BEST EPISODES ....excited!

Side note : These scenes were definately shot off set. It's a proper college as the classrooms and corridor's are also different. Wonder where it was?

Side note 2 : Did y'all see Kanchan...like WHAT?! 🤣

The Rama/Aastha scene was so poignant. "Main kamzor thi....ek ma ki thara socha....agyakaari biwi....adarsh bahu.....ek aurat ban ke khudke liye to kabhi sochi nahi payi.....kash aapke aise himmat mujhme hoti" Rama and Aastha are almost two sides of the same coin. They are trapped by society's expectations. Rama feels she failed by living up to society's standards of a mother, a wife, and a daughter in law. I'm glad Aastha reminds her that her ability to live in her circumstances also took courage. It's true that Aastha broke her bahu and biwi relationship for the sake of her parents and probably doesn't regret it. She does live with the regret that she failed as a mother though.

Shaurya Sabherwal is easily instigated by Anokhi's supposed words. The twins further cement Shaurya's bad impression of Anokhi. I love that Shaurya was still so smart, finding the loophole in their story. Anokhi could lie about the twins words, but there would be other witnesses, right? I love that even in anger, Shaurya is quick on the uptake! As for character arc, he goes from saying "negative kism ki ladki" to "she's the best thing in my life". He tells the twins to stay away from Anokhi, and later he tells them they should learn from Anokhi. So much growth in the future!

Anokhi has moments of hopelessness, but also a 'never give up' attitude. She's desperate after finding the pen, in looking for paper. She's defeated when she can't find water. She's demoralized when she loses hold of her SOS sign. And in that despair, she prays to her Mata Rani for help and we see our hero roaming the halls. I'm glad he didn't find the SOS paper, because that left the ambiguity for the post-ragging story. The sequence of her slowly losing all hope through the episode, culminating with the lights turning off, as if signifying an end, concludes with Shaurya discovering the phone, bag, books, and ID card. It was like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.

Side note:

~ I loved that Babli worried and spoke up for her sister even while hearing the taunts and Anokhi worries for her sister even when she herself is in trouble. Such a sweet sibling relationship!

~ Mrs Bhatia is soooo irritating. Anokhi has stayed with her two nights and already she's found ways to blame her for everything. From her bahu not having time to make her son chai to cooking up stories about Anokhi going to the cinema with a rich boy. That woman is so evil.

I love that Shaurya has such a fast mind and picks up these loopholes. He knows his sisters well. He may not be directly accusing them, but he finds the flaw in their story so fast! Bebo is a great liar and covered well, and they did a good job buttering up their bhaiyya.

So funny that you point it out that Anokhi is being judged based on Aastha alone and not on her own merits yet. Shaan sides with her because he supports his Noor and Shaurya antagonizes her because it's a way to make his mother's favorite miserable.

I was thinking all the same things about Anokhi and Babli too. Thinking of each other like a good sibling would. And yes, Anokhi promises to punish the vip gang. I'm disappointed that she breaks that resolve and actually forgives them.

Mrs.Bhati and Devi are on the same wavelength when it comes to their choti soch. I wonder where the bias against small town India people comes from?

Such a great point about women never being able to win. Women are either put on a pedestal or pushed underground. The expectations are so high that they're set up to fail. When men fail, they're excused from the guilt. When women fail, they're expected to wallow in it and the blame game begins.

Yes, Devi's overconfident about her child rearing skills and brainwashing skills. Those Kashyap genetics is so strong that they trump all the Sabharwal-ness in Shaurya eventually.

Yes, next episode with the hug is the scene that brought me into this insanity! Can't wait!

I hadn't thought of that. They must have gone to a real college to do this. I wonder if it was all shot in or out of sequence? After this episode, we never get to see the internal hall way or staircase or other classrooms(other than Shaurya's).

You're right. I think Tejvi or Alok may have called Shaan out on that. He vouched for Anokhi based on Aastha's words and having no real knowledge of her. It may have even been before he officially met her. He let her stay in the SIAC library without ever coming face to face with Anokhi.

For people like BM, Bebo, Mrs Bhatia you are judged on your wealth. In this case you will see them fawning around the wealthy and very often make a fool of themselves.

SS can see whatever he wants but Anokhi without wanting to has got his undivided attention.

The conversation between Aastha and Ramaa was the best part of the episode. Both would be reflecting on what the other said..

My favourite parts of the episode:

Shaurya getting all fidgety hearing Ms Bhalla name but trying to show he is least concerned.

Ramaa inadvertently pointing out to Aastha where the latter failed.

Shaurya finding Anokhi's stuff

I suffered along with Anokhi in the classroom.

The rewatch has made me angrier with Aastha when the first time I admired her. Had not watched any of the episodes just some scenes here and there to understand the Shaurya Anokhi pair...

Shaurya whether he wants it or not is already feeling the Anokhi effect. The magnet is not that close at the moment, soon...

The way the makers showed the paper and Shaurya, we would expect him to find it like all heroes in movies, but SAAKK is unique, so let us keep the suspense further...smiley4

I totally agree about Aastha's failures. Her other relationships contained adults who could make and understand their own decisions. Shaurya was the collateral damage to her decision and it was done without his permissions or consideration. It's a responsibility being a parent and the fact that she abandoned him and never followed up to make sure he wasn't neglected speaks to how little she valued her role as a mother compared to her role as a daughter. This rewatch has made me dislike Shaan and Aastha A LOT!

SAAKK really was so unique. I happened to watch a part of episode 84 where they spend the night in the car. It's amazing how fast paced this show was. It took 42 episodes for a hug and in another 42 episodes, ShaKhi relationship kind of started. I believe Anokhi's return to Chandigarh is what really gave their romance a starting point; especially with Reema and Kanchan helping in the realization.
