Today's episode was so fast paced.

Liked the fact that Anokhi made some friends on the first day itself. Reema and Maya did support her all the way through.

Now Bebo and company are a true bunch of brats. Bebo is the ultimate BCBG type, high and mighty and typical Sabherwal uppity girl.

Kitty is her follower and unfortunately gets carried along. Kitty would have been the first to befriend Anokhi had they had a longer run of the show.

The ragging part was lengthy and a lot of emphasis laid on it.

We do not have this culture of ragging in Mauritius, in fact the opposite, where Senior organise parties, orientation session etc.

I saw something similar in 3 idiots so looks like this is still ongoing despite it being illegal.

Makers did well to bring up the subject.

Now bBebo, on top of being a brat, also knows how to manipulate people just like BM. Shaurya is her victim and the latter all ready to believe his sister blindly.

One minute Shaurya is giving them a lesson and the next he is all ears when the subject of Anokhi is raised.

His antenna is all out when he hear Ms Bhallah from Kapurthala.

Bebo and Devi are more like mother and daughter than Gaytri and Bebo.

Next the tam tam...that follows...

Birds of same feather flock together... All rich brats together and here maya and reema trying to make Anokhi feel comfortable and extend a hand of friendship.

Good to see two good people (Rama and Astha) talking through the situation that they have been through and giving credit for their respective roles in Anokhi’s progress. Astha being the independent strong lady she is should’ve known that Rama doesn’t have the same privilege of choosing what is good for herself.

Ragging is a serious issue in India( I don’t know what the situation is like right now) which they’ve dealt with in a very nice way. I myself have seen students being tortured in various different ways in the name of ragging. Girls being asked some questions which are very private to them and in a demeaning manner and Anokhi’s case is no different. Was that a way to befriend a person which they claimed to be? No action of theirs falls under the category of befriending. Anokhi’s character consistency is shown here too.. she tries to make them realise that it is wrong and she doesn’t give in to the situation out of fear.

Reema and Maya were quick to guess that there was something fishy about Mr Ss calling her to classroom instead of staff room. How nice of them to show concern and try to help Anokhi out of the situation given that they knew her only for a few hours but who can withstand a storm?

Now comes the final nail in the coffin. Kiss day? Is there any such day? Was it just a made up one to create this scene.. whatever it was Anmol crossed all limits but Anokhi is strong enough to defend herself.

Good that they have shown them(the sisters)interospecting their actions but it was of no use as they just end up defending their hideous deeds. The basic fear and guilt underlying any inhumane action is clearly visible in their faces.

I strongly feel that Ss’s mind was already occupied with Anokhi when he met the sisters. Was he referring to Anokhi when he said that people come from far to join this institution and they also prove themselves. Is he already impressed with her determination and intelligence?

What a game plan it was!!! provoking an already instigated person against Anokhi. He was all ready to listen to what else Anokhi said against him acting as if it didn’t make any difference to him.

I haven't watched the episode yet.. In fact am 3 episodes behind. I also felt the same about Kitty when I 1st watched the serial.. Shes not all that bad like Bebo.. Like u mentioned she's a follower. Bebo is more domineering. Am also from Mauritius 😊... I wonder how many more from SAAKK forum r from Mauritius 😉

I think this too, i am sure with that Anmol- Bebo thing there was a storyline for Kitty and anokhi, but missed opportunity ! But Kitty is the better twin!

Its become better in India now. Atleast I did not face it but then that was also years ago so i think it depends more on what institution you go to for UG/PG but yes, a good emphasis laid on it!

My question is why is Shaurya so curious about what Ms. Bhalla thinks? Did he not say he will not care about her ? :P

1. Reema, the OG shakhian was introducted today. Reema's warm nature and beautifual personality draws you in towards her character. It also felt good to see Anokhi find a friend in that place. Reema as a charcter brought balance in teams of OTT'ness of the VIP gang. Also, it was cute to see her gushing about 'Shaurya Sir' and smart of her to figure out Anokhi was trapped. Another reason Reema impressed me in one go was that on day one she tried saving anokhi from ragging to the best of her abilities.

2. I think Aastha understands Rama Bhalla better than anyone else, what aastha could do because of her support systesm (parents) Rama could not.

3. The ragging was hard to watch honestly. It was ruthless in some aspects as to be surrounded by a gand in a closed room is actually very scary if you think about it. Asking someone to do demeaning actions in name of 'getting to know them better' is just horrible. It escalated to molestation very soon. At this point, we all notice Kitty. Kitty is a follower with a slight heart somewhere. She understands that they were crossing a BIG LINE.

4. In flight or fight, our nikki fights. WHAT A SLAP!!!! I noticed that she first chose to sort it out politely, then she threatened lodge a complaint and then came the slap. She was scared throughout and it was clearly evident.

5. Shaurya has a sense when his sisters are upto trouble. His speech clearly tells us that BOGO are here because they are sabs and its their college. Somehow when he spoke of hardworking students as an example, it felt as if he was remembering Anokhi...could be or maybe not!

6. Bebo tries to manipulate her brother, setting up a story for what was to follow because i think she also realised that they messed up big time and i think she had gauged Anokhi's nature. Also, she stooped too low when she got aastha in between to get shaurya against Anokhi and push her agenda. What surprised me was that none of them had an ounce of pity to open that room before they leave college.

7. Shaurya wants to know what Anokhi thinks of him? Hmmmmm....did he not say "that girl will not affect him" 🤣. Another thing i wonder, what does Shaurya think when someone says Aastha is a better professor? Because that line of thought ended with the episode and was never picked up again.

Side Note: Deba's acting today was really good! and her face when they locked her in...just scared me.

Reema and Anokhi's friendship is one of the best relationships in the show(third after Anokhi/Babli and Anokhi/Aastha in my book). Reema uttered her "Hayyo Rabba" for the first time. And fangirled over Shaurya sir 'woh to best hai'. Methinks Reema Rajput had a small crush on the professor as well. I was surprised to hear Anokhi also voicing a good opinion about Shaurya: strict but teaches well! Which is the opposite of what the twins told Shaurya. They wanted him to believe that Anokhi was badmouthing him and his teaching. Comparing him to Aastha and finding him lacking. Interesting that he cares what Anokhi thinks.

A game of jaan pehchaan! Ragging scene was done well. A little immature from my view until it got to the molestation part. They first wanted her to stand on her head, clean the floor with her mouth, taking her ID and bag, mocking her clothes, etc. Then when Anmol tried to kiss her, the tide changed. I'm glad Kitty had the good sense to question the situation. Bebo was ready to throw AA under that bus if something went wrong. And AA was ready to take everyone down with him. No loyalty in that VIP gang. The slap led to the hurt ego leading to Anokhi being locked in the room. Bebo had the audacity to victim blame that if Anokhi listened to them then she wouldn't have been locked up. I hate that the twins were left as one-dimensional characters who got forgiven undeservedly.

Side note:

~ What happened to Maya? Was her name changed? Another side character that went for a toss!

~ Why did Bebo say Aastha ma'am as if they don't know about their Aastha taiji??

~ Aastha and Rama together was such a sweet scene. It's interesting that Aastha asked Rama "Aap kabhi apne haq ke liye kyu nahi ladi?". I know this was asked in the context of speaking up against her husband and sasuraal, but it made me wonder why Aastha fought for her haq to take care of her parents, but never fought for her haq as Shaurya's parent.

~ It was so sad to see Anokhi begging for her 100 rupees. It just broke my heart to see her daily struggle. And poor Reema had to leave her behind because survival is important. I just wish she had told someone(security or faculty) before leaving.

You're so right. In just two interactions the audience learned all that we needed to about Reema. She really is a good hearted human!

2. I think Aastha understands Rama Bhalla better than anyone else, what aastha could do because of her support systesm (parents) Rama could not.

It's funny how two people can watch the same scene and get two different thoughts. I went down the route of Aastha not fighting for her haq as a mom.

The ragging is so uncomfortable to watch. As someone who's never experienced it, I just felt so uneasy. Being in a school environment, you hope would provide a sense of safety, but society's class difference and power struggle exists everywhere.

5. Shaurya has a sense when his sisters are upto trouble. His speech clearly tells us that BOGO are here because they are sabs and its their college. Somehow when he spoke of hardworking students as an example, it felt as if he was remembering Anokhi...could be or maybe not!

Righttttttttttttt. When he said some students work so hard and try to prove their worth and are successful at it, he was talking about Anokhi for sure!

6. Bebo tries to manipulate her brother, setting up a story for what was to follow because i think she also realised that they messed up big time and i think she had gauged Anokhi's nature. Shaurya is such a liar! He doesn't want Anokhi to affect him, yet wants to know what she thinks of him. He's annoyed that she badmouthed him. But that comparison to Aastha was the icing on the cake. I don't think he's jealous of Aastha, but it is interesting that he cares to be considered a better professor than her.

Side Note: Deba's acting today was really good! and her face when they locked her in...just scared me.

Deba is phenomenol in the whole ragging track. You can feel the helplessness of Anokhi. Just her voice modulation, the scared look in her eyes, the pain when she's begging for help, etc.

@bold: I don't have experience with ragging(in the US they all it hazing), but I always hear about it in the Indian news. It seems to be a big problem that exists. I've heard of a lot of hazing when it comes to sports and fraternities/sororities here; places where there's a class structure...seniors versus newbies. I'm glad I've never had to be party to any of this.

@bold: I like the way Anokhi was written in the scene. She always tries to be mature in every situation and tries to explain things. She hopes that cooler heads prevail. She's not prone to emotional outbursts. She always thinks she can talk herself out of a situation.

I'm not sure how popularthese days are. But I remember SBS/SBB covering things like this pre-pandemic. They have Rose day, Propose Day, Chocolate Day, Teddy Day, Promise Day, Hug Day, Kiss Day, then Valentine's day. I found this in an indianexpress article, so it sounds like a popular thing. Maybe a marketing gimmick to sell some roses, chocolates, and teddy bears over 7 days instead of just one day??
